Thursday roll call
Hi everyone
I'm back and feeling much better. It did turn out to be my migraine medicine. I had a very bad reaction to it. I was looking at the side effects and I had almost all of them (dizziness, confusion, problems with speech, shortness of breath, trouble with balance and so on). I didn't like that at all. The funny thing is I know two people that take Topamax with no problems at all. Nancy takes Topamax and for 6 years. I am one of the people the FDA warns you about. But you know I went in there with what looked like a stroke or something so they had to be extra careful and they did a bunch of tests. I do still feel a little dizzy but the doctor said it could take a few more days to get that stuff completely out of my system.
Oh and I lost 3 pounds in 2 days...but what a way to lose it...yuck!!!
Thanks for all of your concern. I was reading Wedneasday's roll call and you guys really are sweet. So thanks.
Monica- I hope you are feeling better with your teeth. I had my teeth removed when I was 22 so I can't remember when I was able to eat normally. Also glad Tyler's doing better. My nephew is in football too and he called it quits because of a minor back injury but that's because his main sport is wrestling and he wants to be in tip top shape for wrestling.
Christine- thanks for the info on the nursing homes. That kind of info you don't find out until you are there. I think we have decided on home health. My dad would be happier at home health and it is cheaper.
Well guys I am off to enjoy my days off. Yes I don't have to go back to work till Monday...but again what a way to get time off!!! Have a great day
I am at the ole IPD and hopefully the day will go fast. Tomorrow we go to Dave's 45th reunion weekend in his home town of Marion, IA.
Have a few things to do after work like cut Dave's hair and then pack the computer and last minute things to take with.

Welcome home Crystal. You really did scare all of us. Enjoy your forced time off. You deserve it.
There is a bike and a wagon on the sidewalk in front of my house. Maybe I will be the mean old lady, and put it in my back yard and see if anyone asks for it. We have some kids on the street that think their stuff should be shared with everyone. At one tome this summer there were 2 bikes in the middle of the street , They just got of f them and dropped them. I seen then do it and yelled at them, I got the look that said it was none of my business. Someone else seen them do it too, and called the police. The kids still didn't want to get them out of the street, so the police put them in there squad and took them. I don't think the bikes are back yet.
Good luck to Christine and Calvin. Enjoy your new adventure.
Anyway, time to get ready for work.
Have a safe day,
Huggers,
LISA

Good Morning OH family
Geez Crystal, I am glad that it wasn't anything more serious, but drug reactions are bad enough. I am thrilled that you are home and feeling better!
Chris and Dave have a great weekend, I hope the weather is nice for you. have fun at the reunion!
As for me, I wake up feeling very sore in my mouth and I am beginning to wonder if I am not grinding my teeth at night. Today I have a bit of pain where the actual teeth came out and it feels swollen inside my mouth. I will wait til Saturday and see what they say. I have been doing the rinsing with sal****er and brushing my other teeth, so I am hoping it's not an infection or anything. I can't take any Vicodin today either because I am going out with my sister this morning/afternoon and then I have class tonight, so today will be interesting I think.
Tyler's appt with the Ortho yesterday turned out so much better than we expected, though he doesn't think so. Turns out he has what's called a stinger and it's nerve damage, but it will heal on it's own and he should be able to play football again this season and wrestle in the winter too. He's upset because he said this makes him look like a "wimp". I don't get high school kids!
Well have a great day and stay safe!
WOW, what a reaction to a medication. I am so glad that you got an answer. That must have been really scary for you.
I got my walk in this morning before the rain started. YAY!!! One more week then it's back to work. I'm thinking about how I should spend my last week off. Some days I feel better than others. I guess that was to be expected.
The best thing is that I am not vomiting anymore. Getting rid of the band was the best decision I made. My DS rocks!
The good thing is I have a work conference the beginning of October, so I'll only be back at work for a week and 2 days. Then I am off to Orlando. I plan on making the most of it!
Hope Monica starts feeling better too.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
Lucy
