Thursday roll call
VSG on 01/16/12
Good morning all u great IL folks!!
Crystal-sorry to hear about ur meds
Today we took our daughter to school(she goes to preschool Tuesday & Thursday from 8:15-11). Then we stopped at the store to get s few things. We come home and I swept and mopped the kitchen floor. I am hoping to hear back from my new PCP by next wk,I mailed my application to them this Tuesday. Then after they call me back I can hopefully I can get into see her this month to start my 6 month of supervised visit for my insurance. I think that one part of the process will take the longest. Cause I already have 3 appts scheduled and 2 nutritional classes. I have a few more appt left up in Springfield, which we are trying to get them done before the bad weather hits.
Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
Glad you are home and on the mend, Crystal. How scary!!!! Enjoy your time off and take it easy. Light a candle! Also glad you came to a decision about your dad that will make everyone happy.
I am at work and it has been slow since yesterday. Sometimes that is good, but it makes the day just DRAG on........
I need to get a hair appointment for Daivd as he is having his senoir pictures taken on Saturday. He has decided to have them done in Rock City in the gardens across the street and maybe on our porch swing.
I am having sushi for breakfast and it is delicious! Chew, chew, chew.............then chew some more, but yummy!
That's about it around here.........
Everyone have a splendid day!

Good Morning Everyone,
Got my computer back, lost everything on my hard drive, so now I'm starting to reload my software. Wow does it take a long time.
Crystal, I'm so glad your ok, what a scary. Enjoy your time off.
Monica, I hope your pain goes away soon, you did have a lot of work done in your mouth, I would think you should start feeling better today.
Lisa, I would be doing the same thing. My belief kids need to take care of their stuff and not leave it where ever.
Monica V. I can't belief its been 4 weeks, since we were all in Streator, your doing AWESOME. October 6 is 1 year for me. Where did the time go?
Christine and Dave have a great weekend, drive safely.
Carol have a great lunch with Vicki.
Lucy your doing AWESOME.
Dawn your tie dye party sounded like so much fun.
My girlfriend Steph (her and I started the weight lost journey together), has stage 2 breast cancer, she was operated on yesterday, she has to go for more test today and than we'll know more. Please keep her, her family and doctors in your prayers, she had 2 daughters ones in 4th grade and the other is a freshman.
Enjoy every day.

Good morning, IL!
Wow, Crystal, thanks for the update. Glad you are feeling some better. R&R is needed!! Just take it easy for a few days and don't forget to list that med in your allergy files!
Monica, sorry your teeth aren't feeling better just yet. Not sure about dry socket...they'll tell you Sat at your check up. Does an ice pack help at all?
Deanna, so sorry about your friend. Will say some prayers that she is ok. That cancer stuff is awful and scary.
Not much new on my front. Got my computer at work "fixed" but had to go to our accting office to do my payroll yesterday. The fellow should be here to fix that problem early next week. We'll see how that goes!
Everyone have a super day!

Evening Everyone!
Crystal, I am glad you are taking the rest of the week off. That was some reaction you had. I have had drug reactions before but nothing as drastic as that. At least you did not do it half heartedly! Glad they caught it so fast and soon the meds will be out of your system. I do know the Topamax causes some memory problems for me but they are minor compared to migraines. I will take that issue over a migraine any day. I am sorry it did not work for you as I consider it a life saving drug. It keeps me migraine free for the most part. I rarely get them now.
Today ended up being a day of not so good news for me. I called my doctors office to follow up on the tests I had last week and ended up talking to my doctor. It seems that my kidneys are acting up pretty bad. I have had problems for about 4 years with them but it sounds like all of the sudden they have gotten really bad. Naturally this is the time I was playing stubborn with my kidney doctor about taking time off work for a "routine" checkup. I guess it will not be so routine now. I need additional tests. Also found out I am severely anemic. I am down about 3 pints of blood. No wonder my bed is so nice in the mornings! I guess that can go along with the kidney problems, as well as the muscle weekness in my legs. I also found out that I have pretty severe arthritis in my spine. One more joint shot to heck. i HATE the word arthritis. It needs to be banned. Especially since there is no cure. Ugh!
Lisa, I don't blame you. I would play mean old lady as well. Otherwise you are dodging bikes and whatnot all the time.
Chris and Dave, have a great weekend. Monica, I hope your mouth starts feeling better soon. Also, I am glad that football is not totally out of the picture for Tyler. Lucy, I am glad all is going so well with you!
Vickie your plan sounds great! Dawn, it is hard to believe David is a senior. Deanna good to see you back. Everyone else, glad you posted.

Cat Lady
Hiya! Today I was "student-driving" my 10-day pre-op (low-carb, high-protein) diet that starts tomorrow morning.
I followed it until I came home for the night --- and then I had a "last supper" chai latte and honey cake. It's OK. I can see that the tough time of day for me will be 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. (get very hungry). I tried today, after the breakfast protein drink, to eat my next snack and lunch only once I felt stomach-hunger. That went well. But my head got a little crazy once the afternoon hunger kicked in (when there is no snack with calories on the meal plan). Funny: I made dang sure I caught the 5:15 instead of the 5:30 so I could get home just as soon as possible to have that dinner (frozen dinner with a veggie). Supposed to do a protein drink at night (once I'm on the diet), but did the final chai & cake thing instead.
Tomorrow, when (if?) I feel stomach hunger, I'm just gonna say to myself: "What, you think a little hunger's gonna kill you? Naw!"
Hold steady! You all, too. :)
