Hello everyone

This week at work is customer service week and even though were not in customer service we get to celebrate.  We get to wear casual clothes this week.  But I only have one pair of jeans that fit.  Today they are treating us to breakfast.  More than likely it will be something I can't eat like- bagels or donuts.  Oh well.  I brought my back up breakfast just in case.  But guess what...I forgot my lunch.  So I will have to get my lunch today.

I have my doctor appointment today and I get to leave an hour early!!!  Woohoo!!! Then I will have to go run a few errands and then home.

I walked outside and it was so cold to me I wore my coat.  I know it's over kill but I was cold.

Well what does your day look like?  Have a great day.

 Good Morning Crystal and Illinois

Fast fly by for me.

Crystal, I agree that it is cold out there!  I went outside to feed the cats and BRRRRR.  You definitely need a wrap today.   Also I like what you did with your planters outside your door.  They are cute!

Another week to get through.  Hopefully this week I will get my MRI.  I also have a pain clinic appt on Thurs to get an injection for my neck.  I sure hope that helps the numbness in my hands and arms.  Also get an iron transfusion Thursday.

Today, nothing special planned other than to get through the day.  Hopefully we can make it through the day without the phone system crashing.  I think they almost have things worked out.  It crashed several times a day last week.    Hopefully I also will not lose any calls.  THAT is frustrating for me AND the customer.

Have a great day!

I am futzing around watching the clock for 9am when we leave. Got my breakfast in and the kitchen floor is swept and washed. Just need to put the rugs back down.

I will try and check back later if I am feeling up to it.

Good morning Crystal and Illinois!

Cold is the word this morning.....bbrbrrbrbrbbrbbr I am not looking forward to winter.

Not much on the agenda today..just some housecleaning and praying. AJ, the 14 year old who had a stroke, had some reflex tests done and was having some problems. The year old with throat cancer is 17 months old. They did surgery on Friday and removed 90% of the tumor. The rest is attached to an artery so they thought it best to leave it. She starts chemo and radiation as soon as they wean her off the vent. And we all think we have problems. So while I scrub and clean today my thoughts will be with them. It's the least I can do.

Hope you all keep warm as we adjust once again to the colder temperatures. Have a great day!
Carol

I am also sending good thoughts to these children.

When we stayed at the Ronal McDonald house in Madison 8 years ago with David's brain abcesses, I met other parents going through MUCH worse things.  Their issues made ours look tiny and I learned to be very grateful.  I just don't think it is fair.

It really is horrible hearing about all the bad things these young children are going thru at the moment. I just pray that all will turn out well for each and everyone of them. Liv's friend too!

I am with the others on being blessed even when I am dealing with what seems really bad to me.  As a teen our daughter had to have an ablation done for svt at Texas Childrens.  We were in the same waiting room as parents who were months out from birth and had not been able to take their child out of Neonatal ICU except to surgery.  I wanted to take them all home with me.  At least I knew RMH had a facility that I think was in the same building as well as the one close by in a seperate environment where these families could have meals, rest, sleep(as it would be), showers and clothes laundered for them as well as all kinds of other support.

So you have been forgiven?

RMH is my favorite charity.  It supplied all those things and more when we went through a very rough period.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

It certainly was/is cold this morning!  It was only 30 degrees here at work when I came in.  That definately warrants a coat!  Love your pumpkin patches....I may have to do something similar in my planters.  I just HATE having to put them away.  I forgot to ask you how the steel cut oatmeal worked out for you?

Besides working today, I have no real plans.  I took steaks out for the grill for dinner.  I will need to stop for some salad fixin's to go with it.

Tomorrow I will shop for my grandson's birthday party that is on Saturday, along with Homecoming for both kids.  The friend of Olivia's will be having her surgery tomorrow morning at UIC also, so please keep her in your thoughts for a good outcome.

I will be lloking for recipes for an ice cream cake as that is my grandson's wish.  I hope it is not too difficult!

Everyone have a lovely day ans STAY WARM!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, It's cold out there.  I have been cold all weekend.  It's going to take some time getting use to this cold weather, without my added insulation.

Crystal good luck at the doctors today.  Your pumpkin patch is so cute.

Christine hope your trip to the dentist isn't to painful, just remember don't drink out of a straw today.

Nancy hope your able to get your MRI this week.  Good Luck with the phones at work as well.

Carol my prayers are with those kids and the family's.  Just breaks my heart.

Dawn  Olivia's and her friend are in my prayers.

Lucy I would love to be in Florida too right now.  Enjoy the water and the weather.  it's cold here.

Paul hope you had a profitable craft show over the weekend.

For me this week, I need to get a sleep study done (adios sleep apnea machine),  and blood work done.  October 6th is my 1 year anniversary.  I can't believe its been a year.  I'm down 114 pounds, still have a lot more to lose, but I feel so much better, and have so much more energy.  I'm thankful everyday that I had the surgery and ask myself, why did I wait so long,

Wishing everyone a great day and stay warm.

Deanna
