Hello everyone

I have been complaining because my weight loss has slowed down so much.  I have been keeping track of what I ate but it turns out I don't eat a whole lot.  So what I will need to do whether I like it or not is workout regularly.  That's hard because I don't do it in the morning because I already get up so early, and I refuse to get up at 3:30 in the morning to work out!!!  When I get home from work I am so lazy and this is when I have to work out.  I need to make myself workout after work!!!  How do you guys to motivate yourselves to workout???? It's hard to fit in a workout when you work 10-12 hours a day and just want to go home and SIT!!!

On a good note my daughter sent me her engagement photos.  I put them up on Facebook.  I only put up a few because she sent me 77 and told me to pick my favorites.  So that's one of things I have to do today is tell which one I like the best.

Today will be a beautiful day to walk on breaks and lunch...I do that when the weather is nice.

Well Have a great day...bye

Crystal, there are some great DVDs that you can buy to exercise right in your own home and at your own schedule. The one that I like the most is Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds. It is walking in place right in your living room. It really gets your heart going. You can buy them on line from her site or possibly Amazon.com. On one DVD she has 1, 2 & 3 mile workouts and then there are others that bring in abs and strengthening. If you have a Dick's Sporting Goods or other big box sporting store they have a selection of a lot of different workouts.

One suggestion is that you "make dates" with yourself by putting the exercise on the calendar and then at the end of the day you can cross it off and say to yourself "well done".

'Mornin all. I went into work today and we will see how long I stay. I got up 1/2 through the night because I needed another Benadryl. I still am an itchy mess.

After work today I will cut Dave's hair and then pack the car for tomorrow.

Good morning Illinois!

Watched Hayden from 8-3 yesterday so Vince could have his mom go with him to the pumpkin patch. Today I'll do some laundry and workout here at home. Nothing much on the agenda today.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am right there with you.  I STILL need to lose 40 pounds and nothing really seems to help.  I need to get back to exercising on a regular basis.  My excuse has been that the boys lost the plug for my stationary bike/trainer, but I need to get past that and figure it out.  It is VERY HARD to get started.  I hear it takes like 6 weeks to ingrain a habit, but once it becomes habit, it is much easier to do.  Even though I stopped losing, I still FELT much better when I exercised regularly.  Maybe I will ride my (outdoor) bike when I get home today.

I had a terrible night.  David had a meltdown and I don't even know what triggered it.  Every now and again, he melts down and has a HUGE fit of anger.  I am very sad today.  I just HATE when this happens.  David is a FANTASTIC kid 95% of the time.  I think it is a bit of peer pressure and also disappointment in himself for not getting things done, but WHY any of this could be MY fault, I have no idea.

We did not get any word on Liv's friend either, so Liv will call her mom today.

Maybe getting out in the air will make things better.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

My quick update: I now have an RNY that's a bit over a week old. First post-op appt today. Feeling pooped. (Thanking god I pooped!) All went well. Moving on to "soft foods." Aiming for  80-100 g protein & 64 oz fluids per  day (I'm 5'9"). Naptime. Will visit OH tomorrow. But, hi!

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

It is such a beautiful day today!  I cant get over how pretty it is.  I even got to escape the office for an hour this afternoon for a doctors appointment.  It was really hard to go back because it was so nice out.  The kidney doctor seemed to think all was going fine except for the anemia and he has my iron transfusion scheduled for tomorrow with some additional tests to follow up on the anemia.  I get the second transfusion next week.  I cant wait!  He says I will notice a difference immediately.    Hopefully that means I wont fight to get out of bed in the mornings!

Work went better today when I cornered my supervisor about not being to hear on my headset.  I switched back to my old headset and I can hear again!!!!  What a difference.

Tomorrow I also get an injection in my neck to help with the swelling from the herniated discs.  I hope that works as that will help relieve the pain.

Christine, I hope you have stopped itching.  Lasoloas, congratulations on your surgery.  It is normal to be pooped at this point!  Dawn    It seems that moms take the brunt for everything.  I hope David gets sorted out and Liv gets good news on her friend.

Have a great evening!
