Thursday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Well I'm so glad it's almost Friday.  I can't wait for this weekend.  I have so much to do before I leave for Champaign.  Lots of shopping, an oil change, a hair cut, possibly my nails too.  I want to look nice for Amanda (and her in-laws to be)  I think I will buy a new pair of jeans that fit me.  It will make me feel better and more confident.  No baggy drawers for this trip.   

Today two of my friends and I are going to workout together.  We'll see how that works out for me.  I'm willing to try anything to keep me working out 5 days a week ...at least.  My one friend Scott is going to show me how to use the weights...yikes!!!  My other friend Debbie is a lot of fun so I'm sure this workout won't be boring.  They are two of my biggest cheerleaders and it just so happens they both would like to lose a few pounds too.  So now we are workout buddies.

Looks like the weather will be cooling off quite a bit the next couple of days.  I really don't mind.  I only hate the sub-zero weather (and snow and ice).

It's great that you are trying a new workout strategy. It just might be what you need.

I am too looking forward to the weekend. Going to Michigan City with my best friend to see the Legends in Concert, a free steak dinner and overnight stay. Fun,fun and more fun!

Working today, then going to get the oil changed in the car. House to clean and pick up things.

It's chilly this morning. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!!!!

I am working today then home for a quick seafood stir fry dinner then off to the Playhouse to present a new proposal to the Board regarding the youth theater group.

I did not get any offers of drivers, so I will have to change my anniversary plans.  Nothing new in that.  I was just looking forward to the plan that I had originally made. 

Working out with friends is a GREAT idea!  Sometimes, when you don't feel like it, you friend is there to push you into it.  Whatever gets it done is a great thing!  Good for you Crystal!

Lucy, your weekend sounds like lots of fun!

 Afternoon Everyone!

It is still a beautiful day even if it is a little cooler.  Lunch on the patio was delightful.  I am going to hate this winter when I am stuck inside all day.  

Tonight I have my second iron transfusion.  It should not take more than 45 minutes so that is not too bad.  That means even more energy!  

I am looking forward to the weekend just to have time off.  No plans yet.  Crystal and Lucy, I hope you have a great weekend.  Dawn, I am sorry your plans got cancelled.  Some day you should just try and say no and see what happens.  Then other parents will realize that they arent the only ones with lives.

Whee! I'm here early. :) My post-op mid-section is feeling back to normal, so sitting at the computer is no longer a big problem. But, now I need to go organize my kitchen, as it never got done before surgery. My recouperation time is quickly coming to an end, and I'm heading back to work on Monday. The big changes are that I'll be wearing red nail polish, red lipstick and a push-up bra --- all new to me at work. Haha! Hope no one at work guesses I had surgery, but rather suspect that I'm having a mid-life crisis as I'm about to turn 50. ;) 

Feeling a bit less tired today. Ready to get cracking on that kitchen. Still, I'm going to ask my hubby to do the bending and heavy lifting.
