Saturday Roll Call
Happy Saturday Morning everyone and good day to those that come in later to the roll call.
We go up to my family's summer home that is about 30 miles north of the Dells today to visit with them and go to a local place for a bite of lunch.
Later on in the evening we will celebrate at a local Italian place and then ocross the street to hear one of the locals that sings at a piano bar.

Hello everyone
How was everyone's Thanksgiving? Mine was good. Everyone was making a big deal about my weight loss. I find myself getting very embarrassed. I don't like being the center of attention. I also sometimes think people are just being nice, that I don't look like I lost that much weight. Isn't that funny...it's so easy to believe insults but compliments are hard to believe. Hmmm....
I did go out yesterday to do some shopping but not for Christmas presents. I went at 5pm and that stores were all cleared out. Today I want to go to Party City for gift boxes and gift bags. I like Party City they have a nice selection of boxes. I use boxes and bags for most of my gifts. I hate wrapping. Then I will go to pick some groceries.
I miss my Amanda. This will sound weird but when she comes to visit I always miss her more than I did before she came. It's like I get used to not seeing her and then she comes for a visit and then I have to get used to not seeing her all over again.

I just finished making the cookies that I had earlier made dough for,and a big pot of veggie beef soup for supper tonight.
This evening we are going to "Light up Streator", it is the park lighting up for Christmas. since it will be cold at the park tonight, soup is the best choice for when we come home.

Good morning Illinois,
I hope everyone is having a great Saturday. Today is a day of laundry and getting the house cleaned. My hubby is taking our kids and a friend to the Wolf's hockey game this eveing. Me, I am staying home and sorting out my closet. My hubby has lost almost 70lbs and the majority of his clothing is too big. I need to cull down the excess and make room for the new clothes. For me, I am going to start packing up clothing I know I will never wear again. While home recovering, I intend to be in sweats and other comfy clothes. I asked my family just for money for Christmas as I will need new clothes to go back to work in. I am pretty sure 1 month out I will need some smaller pants. Thrift stores here I come!! I just cannot see paying full price for clothes until I am a little closer to goal or my weight loss has slowed down.
Ok, I am rambling. Have a geat day cyber friends!!

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I am having a relaxing day today. I keep thinking it has to be Sunday but I have one more day off and I will take it! It is nice to have the time to do some things around the house and no pressure or deadlines.
I am realizing that I am going to have to have back surgery. I am ready to say Uncle. I realize this is not going to go away and have come to the realization that it is not going to get better. The spinal injections did not help. So now it is just a matter of figuring out when. I can't believe that I am going to undergo another surgery! This is getting old. Plus I really need 2 surgeries, one in my lower back and one in the neck. Ugh! It will be nice to have time home .... but in another way I am not looking forward to it. The cats will love it!
I am sitting here debating about doing Christmas decorations this year. What comes up from the basement has to go back down. Sure dont want to have to wait until July for them to go back downstairs.
I may wait another week to make my final decision.

Since I can not get around much I went and bought a new pre lite 6.5 foot tree in multi color and 2 strands of basic 2.00 garland and 4 boxes of 2.50 glass balls there were 18 in each box and some tiny stocking and put on it and then some cheap table decorations and I am calling it Christmas... It's enough to give me the look w/o a lot of work after the holidays since I won't be able to do much for a while...I even let my 3 grand kids put the balls on it and ya know what its perfect! It's not my normal stuff but that's OK!

I am spending a pleasant Saturday at work, counting down the hours until I'm out of here! Then I need to do some laundry and other stuff around the house.
My first Thanksgiving was a bit tricky, and a little sad (as expected) but did go better than I had anticipated (Surgery was November 8th). Hope you all had a good one and are/going to have a great weekend!
