Surgery is Cancelled

Well,

My surgery is cancelled all because my surgeon would not follow the rules of the game and play fair. I am furious!

I dont know whether to blame him or the know it all person in their insurance office that seemed to think she knew everything about how to get the surgery approved. I tried to tell her the doctor needed to call the insurance company but would she listen? Noooooooo. Would he listen? Noooooooo. So I am off today and most likely all of tomorrow and unpaid at that while I try to undo my FMLA. Our office is not the kind that you can just show up and resume working. By now I am deactivated from the system and it takes a day to reactivate me. GRRRRRRR.

Well, it was not meant to be. Now I just have to figure out what I am going to do next.

Nancy you have a right to be upset. You also have the right to change doctors and hope # 2 will do it according to your insurance. you will get it done.

Thank you Lisa. I am seriously considering changing surgeons. I hate the thought of starting over again but I also have lost seme faith in this surgeon. He may be highly qualified but he is also an a##

You might want to consider getting a copy of your complete chart so you have it when you change doctor's.

What a pain in the butt. Does the doctor and his staff realize their mistake in this? If not, and they unremorseful then I would look for a new surgeon.

I hope you will be back to work Monday.
