Friday Eve Roll Call

I have to gripe for a minute.

Saw Dr Kane yesterday.  He said the wound is healing nicely and looks good.  Today I changed the bandages (nurse comes tomorrow to put the vac back on) and I had really icky green slimy stuff in the wound.  And it smelled really bad.  I called the nurse-she had me call the Kane Center.

I called them and it appears I have another infection.  So now I have to go in tomorrow to have one of the docs look at it.  And another prescription for an antibotic. 

EEERRRR!!!!!  I keep thinking about Christine telling me her wound was open for 9 months.  I don't think I can handle this for another 7 months!!!!!  I can't share my frustrations with my husband as he has a ton on his mind with the job search and I need to be upbeat.  He also worries a lot about me too.

I should be grateful.  I have lost 50lbs in 6 weeks and other than the wound, I feel good.  I am getting paid to be off of work so that's good too.  Just needed to vent!

 Evening Everyone!

I am with Crystal and the rest about looking forward to spring!  I love going outside to feed the cats in the morning and not freezing to death!  I also love coming home and still having some daylight left at the end of the day.  It makes me think I do more than eat, sleep and work.  

Crystal, I know all about long hours.  I have always been salaried and they have always taken it out of my hide to the tune of 50 - 60 hours of week but no extra pay.  I now relish a job that I get to leave when the clock says my shift is over!  

Dawn, my company sends us home on Friday afternoon so they dont have to pay overtime.  It is tough when you work with family because you cannot really press the issue but I might be tempted to let my boss know that what he is requesting is ilegal but that I am willing to work with it for now but not on a permanent basis or something to that effect.  He cannot force you to do it his way nor can he fire you but he can make your life miserable.  BUT you hold the cards.
