Sunday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I am sitting here and eating breakfast and watching Law & Order and relaxing.
Yesterday, I went to get a hair cut. I picked out everything for my mother-of-the-bride outfit, but I haven't picked out shoes yet. I was going to buy the outfit but the sales girl gave me a 20% of coupon that is good for today. So I will go and pay for everything today. I also ended up at Old Navy and bought a couple casual tops. I think I am done shopping for now. I'm like a kid in a candy store. There are so many stores to shop at and I love Summer clothes. I went Meijer and bought some odds and ends. I went to Walgreens. And then I went home cleaned and did laundry. I didn't sit down much yesterday. I never got around to working out so that on the list for today.
Today I am going to pick up my outfit. That's all. I am being as lazy as possible.
Monica- I hope your hunt for clothes at thrift stores went well. At least garage sale season is coming soon.
Nancy- I hope you're feel better and pain free (or close to pain free)
Christine- I hope your hubby is feeling better and recovering well.
Debbie- I am in love with the bras at JcPenney. I have bought one from Ambrielle- gravity defying...it really gives your saggy boobs some lift. I also bought a minimizer bra from Olga and it is super comfy. They also have bra fitters there so you will get the right size. The average bra is about $21...so it's not too bad.
Well I am going to get along and finish my relaxing. Have a great day.
I went to a kettlebell and ropes class yesterday. OMG! I got my butt kicked! I love the class. I can't move my arms today but really liked it. It's a hard workout but you burn a ton of calories and really work hard. The only bummer part is that it's expensive! $165 per month or $155 for a 10 clas*****h card. With the husband not working, I will probably not be able to go back. But if he gets a job soon, I will be back there!
Didn't do much of anything else yesterday. It was actually snowing here! We went out for lunch and then stayed in and read a book and caught up on the dvr shows. Nice lazy day.
Today I have to work on a special project for tomorrow. And I'm gong to finish a book I started. And hit the treadmill. That's it for me!
Have a good day guys!
Julie
I have the laundry done, know what I am wearing for the next couple of days, and now I am on the hunt for ceiling fans. (online)
I want to make a desert for dinner tonight, not sure what we are having yet.
Other then that............. I will finish up the current rug I am working on, and relax.
A typical Sunday .
I as so glad you found a dress Crystal. We are going to a wedding in 2 weeks, a casual one also, and I am wearing a red flared (just a bit) dress, with black asscessories and a black with polka dots purse.
Back to my hunt for fans,
Hugs, LISA
Goodwill tour yesterday was better than I could of hoped for. 2 pairs of pants for work, 1 pair capri, 1 pair shorts, 2 pairs shorts for Morgan, 4 blouses, 2 pairs of shoes, 1 curtain for Morgan's room, and 1 glass ice tea pitcher. It was so much better than I could have hoped for.
Have to go to Walmart today. Morgan is attending outdoor education the Monday after Easter and will be camping for the whole week. They have their school classes and other type of classes while camping. I got the supply list yesterday and WOW! It says that you should not buy anything. You should be able to borrower it or make what you need. The list says that they should take 2 pairs of tennis shoes and 1 pair of hiking shoes. She only has 1 pair of tennis shoes. I know why they want 2 pairs because if one gets wet you have something dry to wear. They also require you to bring 2 pairs of socks per day. Need to get her a cheap pair of shoes and some more socks. At least she will still be able to use it over the summer.
Still need to type of some notes from my last Rainbow Girls Meeting. I am on the advisory board and am the secretary. I always wait till the day before to type them up. One of these days I may do early so I can actually remember what took place at the meeting.
Also have 2 rasberry plants to get into the ground today.
Have a great day!
I have been up and out and about with a run/walk through my neighborhood. I am in the process of getting an early chicken noodle dinner fixed so we can eat at about 2PM. Afterwards I need to organize some of my necklaces and clean a bathroom and wash the floors on the main level.
Crystal and all - Dave is progressing as he should but he still has some pain. I took the dressing off today. The area is still really swollen and he says it hurts, the black and blue areas are gone. He is going to take a pain pill.
I have a urologist appt this Wedn. to get to the bottom of my issues. Not looking forward to it as there might be an in office procedure done. My internist warned me about it.

Today I spent my morning at church. I am in the choir and I have noticed with the weight loss, I am able to sustain my breath so much better. I love the ease and control I am having.
Then off to Jewel for supplies for the week. I needed my Chobani! Love the stuff!!
This Wednesday I have an apt with the nutritionist. I have been trying to get an apt since Feb, but the available times plus the distance to drive was making it basically impossible to go. However, recently a new nutritionist started working in Gurnee, YEAH!! so I have an apt on Wednesday. This means I need to track everything I eat. I have to say, my Sat and Sun are not as controlled as the week. Funny how that happens.
On Friday, I have my mammogram. Gotta love those apts!! NOT! But it is a necessary evil.
I went shopping at a Goodwill store in Mundelein. Did not find much but if you need a size 8 or smaller they have LOTS of jeans. Tiny people in Mundelein!!

With my weight loss, my daughter has been having a hard time handling the change. She is also in need of losing about 50lbs and is currently wearing a 16/18 pants. Well, I am also wearing an 18 or 16w depending on the cut. My girl is having a hard time with this fact. She kept telling me that certain sizes would be to small for me. It became increasingly clear that I will have to not shop with her for awhile. I get it, it has to be hard for her as I have changed everything we eat. I know she did not gain the weight on her own, I taught her how to snack all day! I taught her how to be lethargic. She is the product of my example. Now, I am moving more, losing weight and getting complements. I keep taking my girl with me to the gym and encouraging her to move more. I can only hope that the new examples will have a positive effect on her! Oh well, one day at a time.
Hope all have a great day!!
Debbie
Fast forward to when I was raising my daughter. I too had bad eating habits and ate the wrong foods. I too sat around all day long with little activity. Unbelievably, like me, my daughter turned out the complete opposite of me. She's vegetarian and goes for 5 mile runs. She was able to see that my life wasn't one she wanted...just like I did when I was kid.
I know we all want to be the good example for our children but that doesn't always happen and I think it's OK to forgive ourselves because we aren't perfect...we are human and we have flaws.
Don't beat yourself up too much.
