Revision on 04/19/13
My favorite summertime sandwich before my lapband, was a BLT with lots of Mayo, Salt and Pepper. Things have changed. I still have my BLTs, our way.
BLT
4 leaves endine
1-2 slices of tomato, diced
1 slice turkey bacon, crumbled
a bit of shedded lettace
a smear of fat- free mayo. or salad dressing of your choice
Layer the endine with the following,
a smear of dressing
tomato
bacon
lettace
Enjoy.

Lisa, sounds great also a great idea for salad dressing instead of mayo. I use Light Hellman's as I am not a fan of any fat free anything (cheese, sour cream, dressing, mayo etc).
I will put a spin on bread portion. We have fallen in love with the sandwich thins. They do not sit heavy on the belly like bread. One thing though is that you cannot toast them as long as bread as they will get rather crispy and hard real fast. It has taken me a while to get it down right when toasting. I use them for my fried egg sandwiches that I take to work for b-fast.
