Wednesday Roll Call
Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!
I am glad to hear how much you like the Dells. That is one thing that we have not done with our family and we should really look into it before the kids are way too old.
I am working as usual and find that things are a very tiny bit better since I had it out with the boss. I need to really decide what steps to take here. I think I am going to TRY to talk to him seriously, but last time I did, he actually LAUGHED at me! Crystal, do you just send resumes to ads in the paper, or do you use any internet services/sites? I NEED to do something for my sanity.
Nancy----I TOALLY agree with Crystal! Rick must really like you to help with that stuff! I am happy for you! Todd does all our laundry and I am lucky for that.
I need to stop to clean the theater on my way home, then home for the evening.
We got some rain last night, but nothing at all major. It even rained while the sun was shining!
Everyone have a great day!

Dawn- Most places have you email them your resume. Bascially you read the add and follow whatever directions they give you. There was one person I sent a resume to that wanted me to fax the resume to them.
Go to your new paper's website and look for jobs there'
Also-
careerbuilder.com
indeed.com
Also- if there is a large company in your area look on their website. Alot of large companies don't post any job adds. You have to go to their website and find the employment postings.
Dawn, if you can manage it financially go and have your resume done professionally. They will interview you and pull all that you say and put it down on paper. You will be amazed at how they can pull info out of you when you yourself do not even think that you have much to put down on paper. A place that Dave went to gave him the finished document in electronic format in addition to copies of the resume.
Keep the resume to 2 pages long. Follow their instructions in the ad. Some will say no cover letter and then again I have heard it is a toss up - damned if you do-damned if you don't. Put your volunteer time on it also. I wish I could remember the name of an author that we heard on the radio when driving recently that was taking calls from the radio audience with their questions.
Just found the radio program - here is the link http://www.moodyradio.org/brd_programarchive.aspx?id=63169 Go down to June 7th - Aim For Jobs with Lee Savage (hour 2),

Good afternoon, Illinois,
Spent the morning running around getting copies of medical records to take to a hepatologist at University of Chicago on Tuesday. That sure is alot easier than it used to be. Just waiting for copies of reports when I had to have my gallbladder taken out in Seattle last winter.
This weather doesn't know what it wants to do today, goes from sunny to rain but at least it's cooler. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my sister and my niece and nephews from Seattle tomorrow night. They are staying for almost two weeks, can't wait to see them all.
Everyone have a great day.

Good Afternoon Chris and All!
Ahh, no rain yet. I am glad of that! Even saw the sun for awhile this morning! I had to go to Peoria for my doctor's appointment today. He was unable to come up by us. I did discover he is the top rated neurologist in the country! I knew he was good but did not realize he was that good!
I got a good report but am still off wor****il at least July 13th and when I go back to work he wants me to start back part time and build up as sitting is the greatest challenge. So I am on vacation for awhile longer!
My sister was going to come today but has been delayed a day and will come tomorrow.
Christine, the Dells sound delightful. I know you must be enjoying your time there.
Lisa, I have enjoyed feeding the birds in the past. You do get a nice variety of birds that way. Now I only get the ones that eat cat food.
Crystal, I am sure your week is flying by! Before you know it Saturday will be here! What and exciting weekend to look forward too! You and Amanda sure are going to shine this weekend!
Dawn, I am glad things are a little better today. I would be so mad if I tried to talk to my boss and got laughed at! I dont think I would be still working there because I would have lost it and told him where to go! You must have the patience of a saint! Hang in there!
Lynn, have a great time with your sister and her kids! It is always great to see family!
