Wednesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Well I haven't heard back about the job yet.  If I don't get this job after all of this waiting around on pins and needles....I will scream.  I feel like saying to him..Just tell me YES OR NO!!!!  I would like to believe that if he wasn't going to hire me he wouldn't just let me twist in the wind like this.  Hopefully he will call me today.  I think I will call and leave a message... 

In the mean time I have been looking at apartments online.  Nothing with the same character as the last place but there are some nice places I can get. 

I was back in the gym yesterday and I did well.  I did well.  I just realized yesterday this weekend is 4th of July...I get three days off!!!  So I had 4 days off this past weekend and three days off this weekend.  I have lots a of vacation time racked up now (73 hours).  So if I do get this job I will end up having some of it paid to me because there's no way I will be able to take all of that time before I leave.

Good Morning to you all!!!

Sorry I have been MIA lately but I was on vacation with family for a wk in VA.  It was wonderful  and had a great time.  This Friday I am meeting my surgeron for the first time.  I can't wait to meet him one on one.  Then next Thursday I have my  psych appt n I am hopin to get in to see the dietician that day too.  

After all of that is done do you know an estimated date of when you will get your surgery.  You have been working on getting this forever it seems like.  Well I hope you get your surgery very soon.

I am thinking probably the 1st of Sept cause I have to see the dietician like twice,n see Dr A couple more times,get update labwork,and some other tests(don't know which ones) and do 3 support groups(which I can't start until July 18th(day) unless I find a way to one July 12th(evening))

I am not moving to fast this morning. I guess I just need a lazy day. NOT.

I did get the shed done yesterday. It looks good. Today, I really want to get the yard cleaned up. My kids are coming Saturday for a 4th of July BBQ, and fireworks.

Last night we went to a T-ball game for the little guys. They have a everyone bats rule for each inning, no outs, and everyone gets on base. It is cute. Our old neighbor invited us to watch her son.

Crystal, you will get a job downstate.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Crystal, I am keeping my fingers and everything else crossed for you.  If not this one, maybe the next one will be better.....

I am working, as usual, then I need to go to Wally-World for some things.  Todd has Plantars Facitis (sp?) and needs some Aleve for the pain and inflamation.  I am not sure how else to help him, since he won't take the time to get some good shoes.

I am starting to get very excited for Olivia.....she leaves a week from Sunday.  We are hoping it will be a great experience for her.  Then,  she will be home a week and the boys are leaving for SeaBase in the Florida Keys.  I get to stay home and work through it all.........sigh.  We ARE going on a cruise in September, so I will look forward to that!

Gotta get back to work.

Dawn, If you have never been on a cruise, you will love it. If you have, you will still love it. We are taking our third in April, with a group that my husband went to school with. to the Caribbean, where we have been before, but I know it will be different. Ours is on the Carnival, Glory.

Two tips for Todd.  Roll a pop bottle back and forth on the floor with the foot.  That is a good exercise.  You can even fill it part way with water and freeze for an icing effect.  

Go see an podiatrist.  They can give you some inserts for your shoes that will take away the pain instantly!  I say they look like they are made of meat trays but they sure work!  

Mom needs to schedule a weekend away for herself!

Crystal, I would not rule out the job yet!  He may have decided to hire you and just has not gotten around to telling you.  If his mind is made up, he may think everything is taken care of.  I had a boss do that to me once.  I was hired at night in the middle of the street but it took him about 3 weeks to actually give me a formal offer.  

Today I just have 3 appointments and I have already spent time arguing with my medical benefits plan.  They want documentation for card swipes and to me they can call the company that ran the swipes for that.  GRRRR.  This company is so difficult to work with.  My past experiences on spending accounts were great and then they switched to this company.  UGH!

Vickie it sounds like you have an exciting week planned!  Good Luck!  Lisa, it sounds like you are still getting a lot done each day!  Dawn, dont work too hard!  I hope Liv really enjoys her trip!

I do feel a little encouraged about the job.  I decided right before lunch to send him an email.  I figured since he's in accounting he might be busy with month end.  So I emailed him a short message saying, I figure he is busy with month end and I look forward to speaking with him.  He sent me an email that said "you nailed it...the last week of the month is crazy around here.  As soon as I get a break from the craziness I will call you"...My friend pointed out that if all he wanted to say to me was sorry your not hired he would just call really quick or not call at all (because employers don't call).  She thinks because he needs to have time to talk to me that he will have a lot to say...like talk about salary, benefits, start dates...stuff like that.  And logically I know she's right but I'm afraid to think positive and find out I don't get it.  But she thinks I have the job.  So I am getting my hopes up...I just hope that my friend is right.
