Monday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I had a truly lazy day yesterday. Except for running to Walgreen's for a news paper and a couple of other things.

Then later in the day Amanda and Charles came over. They just love Jasper. I guess there Blaine is just not very snuggly, lovable or playful. So I ordered some pizza and they were playing with Jasper. I video taped it and put it on Facebook. You should see it...Jasper just love flipping around. Then come to find out that while they are off in the Peace Corp, guess who will be taking care of Blaine??? Yep, me!!! I don't know about this. He sounds so grumpy and mean. I will do it for them but I am not looking forward to taking care of this grumpy cat for two years while they are gone!!!

 Good Morning Crystal!

Yep, it is Monday and a Rainy one to boot!  I hate Mondays as well.  I am off today as I refuse to go to work on Monday when it is my birthday.  Sounded like a good excuse to me anyways.  

Just talked to my Aunt who turned 95 yesterday.  She is doing so well it is amazing!  No plans yet for the day. We will see what today brings.  

Crystal, I cant wait to see the video of Jasper.  You may find that when you take care of Blaine that he becomes playful and cheerful just because he has someone to play with.  I was amazed when I took in my nieces 3 cats after Hurricane Katrina at how well her cats and mine blended and got along.  She did have one named Libby that my Beemer instantly fell in love with and spent 6 months chasing her.  Libby took up residence on my kitchen counter and claimed a pot holder as hers.  It was a riot.  When are Charles and Amanda going to go into the Peace Corps?

Nancy-  I'm not exactly sure when they will be leaving.  I guess the application and interview process is very extensive.  The avarage application usually takes about 1 year.  So I am thinking they might be leaving sometime at the end of 2012...maybe a little sooner or later.

Poor Blaine, I think is just not very lovable because he had a traumatic beginning.  I think that effects some kitties forever.  They told me if you try to pet him he will snap at you.  They said he doesn't actually bite you but it's his way of warning you to leave him alone.  I am so lucky I have Jasper.  He loves to be petted 24/7.  He so friendly.  I haven't heard him hiss or any thing like that.

I would of done this in yellow, to give the feel of sun, but it was to light.

Anyway, I had a do nothing day yesterday too, All I did was cooked in the morning. Then, watched Netflix all afternoon.

Today, I think we only pissed one or 2 clients off. Not bad for a Monday.

Crystal, why don't you have Amanda bring Blaine over when they come, so the cats can get used to each other. That way, when they do leave for the Peace Corp, they will be used to each other.

My birds, do not like me right now. I will not go out and feed them until the rain stops.

Lisa-  I suggested that we do that but it will have to be the other way around.  I guess Blaine hates leaving his home so much that he gets diarreha for a couple of days.  What I was thinking is that they bring him over to live a month before they leave.  That way if there are any big problems...they are still here in town. 

I love Netflix!!!!

Rainy days and Mondays always get me down.  Not really but it fits.  Nothing new to report...just got slammed at work with a couple critical tasks.  Makes things go by faster. 

BTW...Crystal...when are you going to OH-FICIALLY move to C-U?  Hmmmm?
