Sunday Roll Call
Morning/day everyone!
Yuck work tomorrow. I won't get my nap time! Oh well, I will get over it.
Got through serving at Willow yesterday. Almost fell asleep during the service. Must have done too much at home before going. I had posted a ?? on the main board about TSH levels and where I should be at. Man, my retired doc and the one that took over for him (Dr Kwack) have mismanaged my thyroid levels. I hope the new doc does not have to send me to an Endo for it. There are a whole mess of symptoms that point a finger at wrong levels. Oh well, live and learn. Just happy to be rid of the Kwack.
What ya's all doing today? I am making chicken and dumplings later on. My mom used to make the best dumplings. Let's see if I can do it also. I can hear her saying that the trick to making them is to not lift the lid on the pot during the last part of the cooking time.

Hello everyone
What a wonderfully lazy day I had yesterday. I never got out of my PJ's all day. I had a Ghost Whisperer marathon...litterally all day I watched it. From about 10 am till 11pm!!! I was as lazy as my kitty. I know this because he was laying right next to me being lazy too.
Now for the bad...I have pink eye again. So that's it, I'm making an appointment with an opthamaloigist tomorrow. I knew even before looking in the mirror. My eyes were completely crusted over when I woke up. I am fine till I stop the antibiotics but I have been on the antibotics for weeks now so my eyes should be better. I'm not messing with this anymore. This is my eyes were talking about. I would love to go to the eye doc Nancy recommended (it's the one by the way Amanda has gone to for 5 years...hahaha) but I have to go to one connected with Christie Clinic in order for my insurance to cover it. Ugh!!!! Amanda is thinking it might be an infection from an abrasion and not pink eye at all. I guess I will find out.
Well off for a nice relaxing day...I do have laundry to do today.

Today, I also have some laundry to finish, plus put a roast in the crockpot for dinner. I do have a few other things to do, but, I think it will be a quiet day again.
I do agree with you Crystal. You need to see a specialist about your eyes.
Christine, have a good 1st day back to work tomorrow.
Nancy, I hope you don't get any more bad news from your Drs.
Debbie, I hope your Mom gets better.

Home from church. Had lunch, Roxie sleeping at my side. Getting ready to head south to drop Chloe off. We are meeting her mom in Paxton, which is just about an hour drive, so we don't have to go the full way. Makes a difference!
Not much going on. I HAVE to do laundry when I get home. I got a new book from the library I DL'd on my Nook, so may start reading that. Otherwise, not much else!

Afternoon Everyone!
I am really lazy today. The cats and I slept way too long. I cant believe they let me sleep so late and did not try to wake me for breakfast. They got lunch instead. I guess I needed it. Now it is off to Pet Smart and grocery shopping. And back to the real world tomorrow. Yuck. I want to retire! Just cant afford it.
Christine, it sounds like you over did it yesterday. Be careful tomorrow when you go back to work. I dont think it would be a bad idea to see an endo. My thyroid levels have been off for years and I am on meds and still have all the symptoms of low thyroid. I think I need better meds. Chicken and dumplings sound so yummy. Share the recipe!
Crystal, I would have loved to do a Ghost Whisperer marathon. I loved that show! I am sorry your eyes are giving you a hard time again. I am sure that Christie Clinic has some excellent opthamologists. I have seen specialists there before. It is funny that Amanda goes to the Kresca's. Small world. I hope the doctor can get to the bottom of your eye problem. It needs to stop!

Debbie, I am so sorry your mom had a heart attack. It is so scary for your parents to be sick and for you to live so far away. That is a bright spot of moving back to Arizonia. I was so thankful when my parents moved from Arizonia to Ohio especially when my dad came down with Leukemia. It is so much better to be close to them when they are older. You worry so much about them and it is hard to handle things from a distance. Prayers for your mom and a speedy recovery.
Georgie, I hope you had a good weekend with Chloe. It is nice to be able to meet close by rather than having to run her all the way back to Champaign, especially when you have laundry to do. Hope your afternoon is nice.
Dawn, I hope your roast turned out well. You could have used plain balsamic vinegar. I do like the raspberry but regular would work. Glad to hear that you are done packing David's wound. Good luck with his doctor visit.

I just wanted to drop a quick "hi" to all. Thank you all for your kind words regarding my mom. I was able to speak with her this morning. She sounds tired but in good spirits. On the bright side, the dr's are planning to release her tomorrow.
Hopefully the stint will work it's magic and my mom will feel better soon. When I spoke to her I did tell her she had to hang on and be around to make the move worth the time! She promised to not go anywhere!
Well, kneed to finish doing laundry and getting ready for a fun week at work.

I will share the recipe soon. It came from Bisquick/Betty Crocker website. I just did not nail getting the dumplings like my mom used to. They turned out pretty dense. I think I needed a smaller pot so they were up out of the gravy. I made the recipe exactly as it stated.
