I am sorry to hear about your girlfriend's mother. When my mom died it was the toughest time of my life. I still miss her even 22 years later.

Hello everyone

It will be a nice day....full of possibilities (hopefully).  I am trying to stay positive.

I have another game plan.  I have to see if the property manager will go for it.  I found there is another property they own that is MUCH cheaper than what I have.  Maybe not as nice....but cheaper in Champaign (it would be even closer to Amanda).  My hope is that they will let me transfer to the other property with no extra cost.  I wil give this whole thing a month but if things aren't looking up I need to cut costs...BIG time.  This is what has kept me up at night.  If I can get into this other apartment...it will be perfect.  At least this plan will help me relax about money.  And then I can sit back and relax (to a some extent).  But when I think of all that work....ugh!!!!

Steven- I am very sorry to hear about your girl friend's mother.  My thoughts and prayers are with her.  I lost my mother too, 3 years ago.

Well I better get going.  Have a good day everyone

Crystal, I have been away from the boards for a while. I love your "new" picture--looking great!

I'm so sorry about your job loss! I will send good thoughts your way, but I will not worry about you--you are already proving your mettle by going out and aggressively looking for a new job. You will find something worthy of your talents soon. Your cost-cutting idea is smart! In the meantime, be sure and eat regularly, even if you are not "hungry." Your body still needs energy. Your metabolism will take the lack of food as a signal that you are starving and will hold onto every calorie you put into your mouth and you will at best, stall, and at worst, regain a bit. Take care of yourself!

Have a good day, everyone!

Good morning Steven and the rest of Illinois:

My condonences to your girlfriend, Steven.  That is very hard.  I lost my mother when I was 7.

I had a doppler done on my leg yesterday and no clots.  I guess I have just been doing too much and not elevating enough.  I now have a compression stocking to wear during the day and start therapy on Monday.  I added a pillow to my elevation and this morning, it looks MUCH better.

Funny thing.........my boss does NOT seem to want me back in the office.  Every time I mention coming back (even for partial days) he tells me not to worry about it.  Mmmmmm.......I have a feeling that my sister-in-law has either said something in particular or has just told him she does not want me around.  Very strange.  As long as he is willing to pay for me to work from home, I guess I will not worry about it too much.

What makes it even stranger IS my SIL (the drama-queen sister-in-law)------she says that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and wants a double mastectomy right away.  So she is also gone from the office a lot.  In the past, my boss would have been DRAGGING me in to run things, even from my death bed.  Now, he seems to want me to keep away even with no one to cover the office.  Oh well.......

So...shower for me, a bite to eat and back to work with an extra pillow under my leg.

Crystal, you are doing wonderful taking positive steps.  I am sure it will work out.

Everyone have a splendid day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Evening everyone!

What a day!  I need s do over today.

Steven,   I am so sorry to hear about your girlfriends mother.  That is so hard.  No matter whether it is a sudden loss or a loss after a lengthy illness, it is still very hard.  I am sure you will be giving her all the support that she needs.

Crystal, it is good to hear from you;  It sounds like you have some really good plans.   I hope you will not have to move but it is good to know that there are other options available if need be.  As hard as it is, have faith.  Money always arrived when I needed it while I was unemployed.  It was amazing.  Beemer is being a total brat.  I was putting his pills in a pill pocket which is a treat with a slit in it where you hide the pills.  He happily ate those until he figured out I was drugging him.  Last night I  ground it up and put it in salmon and he ate it.  Fingers crossed that he will eat it tonight.

Nicolle, good to "see" you again. I hope all is well with you.

Dawn,  i am glad the swelling is down and to hear that you are starting PT  I really believe in the PT   It has always helped me. As far as not reporting into work physically I say go for it!  You are saving gas and commuting time.

Everyone have a great evening!
