SURGEON ACCEPTING MEDICAID....FOR DEBBIE, LORI, CHANDRA....
I've been chomping at the bit for about 10 days couldn't wait to tell you guys this - my puter was full of viruses and now back to life...........Doctor Butsch, the other surgeon in Dr. Millikan's office (my surgeon) takes Medicaid! However, his secretary said they are booked and not accepting anymore names on a waitlist for now.........but said for you to call back in August - that's when the list will open up! His number is (312) 942-3438 at Rush PResbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago.......his nutritionist's office is there also, and if anybody has questions with that office, tell her I sent ya........Roberta Clark is the secretary for Nutrition...very helpful and well informed.......
ALSO................As of last Wednesday afternoon, no more MEDICARE patients will be accepted! MEDICARE does not make you be preauthorized, however, they are denying the procedure AFTER the people have the surgery! Well, no more Medicare patients at Rush anyway........for now......
BCBSIL IS NOT DENYING ME........I'VE ASKED THEM TWICE TO DENY ME......WHAT THEY DID IS TELL MY PRIMARY DOCTOR WHAT INFO THEY NEEDED AFTER HE SENT HIS INITIAL LETTER.........THEN THEY SAID THEY NEEDED TO SEE ADDITIONAL THINGS IN HIS OFFICE NOTES AFTER THEY READ WHAT HE SUBMITTED..........
I HAVE BEEN VERY very very upset about this as now a manager at BCBSIL stuck her two cents into it......and between the two "michelle's" that got involved in the Danville office.......they are lying and denying they said this and that ......... but I've got a plan........ so wish me luck....
DId anybody hear if that girl's tv interview was on channel 5 yet?
So, I hope this is a little bit of hope for you! I mentioned to somebody to call there before......so, I don't know if you have the info or not cause I didn't read abouat it..........been up all night ....... going to sleep.... feel free to e-mail me on my regular e-mail it's so much easier for me to read..........

I have Dr Laurence Gibson as my surgeon. Just completed my 6 month supervised diet with my PCP, Nut, & Exercise therapist now awaiting insurance approval. There are not many facilities that accept Medicaid in Illinois so I had to drive over 2 hours to and from my appointments but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. ?
