I just want to scream!
Is it always this hard? Beteen my PCP and the INS company i'm not sure who makes it the hardest! how can one stay cool headed when trying/ beging for help to get the information you need for the surgen. If anyone has any ideas on how to get the nurse to understand and help me it would be greatly appreciated
Its tough I know. It took my PCP's office THREE weeks to type up the letter for my insurance company and yet I had already written it for them...all they had to do was copy it onto his letterhead and send it to me
Just keep on her. I called my PCP at least twice a week and asked about the letter. If they take too long and are not supportive of your journey to have this surgery you might look into changing PCPs.
It will come together eventually!!
...hang in there and good luck!!

Thank you Konni I just want to cry. my PCP wrote the letter and all looked good but when i call the nurse she is just down right mean and acts like she does not have the time to talk to me. She said that she just don't have the time to mess with my INS . Well thanks again it nice to know that I can always come here when people understand! Thanks again.
awwww I understand (((hugs)))
Lets see....this is your pcp's nurse you are talking about right? and they have the letter ready but she hasnt sent it out?...first of all I would INSIST on talking to your doctor and letting him know how you are being treated....she has NO right being mean or rude to you...YOU pay for her job and are entitled to be treated with respect...second....why does she need to deal with your insurance company? can you give me some more information about all this?...like do you have a surgeon picked out? have you had your consult with him/her yet? what stage exactly are you at in the process?
~hugs~

1st my ins is Cigna and they require alot. When we called they told use what we needed to do, the nurse then said do you really think that this is worth all this trouble. Thats how we started out. I see DR. Marshall on July272004 here in Peoria. I have a letter from Weigh****chers showing that I had been there for over 1 year going to see the nutrition this FRI the 9th. Anyway the INS told DR office to fax all my information to them so they could get started on it so thats when things go really bad for the Nurse. [I guess]. I don't know
