Second thoughts about COMP Clinic
I am having sexond thoughts about going to the comp clinic.
1). It is so far away.
2). Sounds like surg. are not being done in the 6-8 months I was originally told. I do not think I can drive the 21/2 hours a couple times a month for over a year. It just will not work with scheduling around my work ect..
3.) Does anyone know what I need to do on my own and for how long for IDPA. Like doctor supervised diet, seeing dietician regularly, psych eval. Can I do all these things I was going to do at the comp clinic locally through individual agencies? What are the requirements???
4). I live on the border of IOWA!!! Does anyone know of any surg. in Iowa who will take Illinois public aid?
5.) I am just not sure what to do!!
Shelli
Shelli here is the name of a GREAT surgeon in IA. You need to call and ask if they accept Illinois PA. If they say no ASK THEM TO APPLY!!! Dr. Brad Ray in Indiana did and it only took him 6 weeks to get approved.
MY friend Tim used Dr. Glas**** he was 600lbs at surgery time and was able to have it laproscopically!!! TIm also speaks very highly of him so if they do accept IDPA... let me know I will get tim to contact you about him.
