Tummy Trouble and Diarrhea-UHGGG!!

Hi AMOS IL friends Whoa!! I have been feeling like crap since Fri. nite at bingo....all of a sudden I feel like my tummy starts churning and I have to throw up. Of course, it's only the froth thing happening.... then I get that feeling and know what's coming next....off to the bathroom I go.... I have not had any post op tummy trouble til just lately. Feb 20th I felt a really bad radiating pain to the right and thought....Here goes my gall bladder...or OMG!!! a twisted bowel...the thoughts that went through my mind. I go to the ER after calling my WLS surgeon and PCP because I was freaking out. They took xrays and ultrasound and I still don't have any GB stones. Turns out I just had some really bad gas and was constipated. I have been taking alot of chewable vitamin C to try and stave off any chance of getting sick before my PS on the 28th. Will this mess with ya? I haven't been eating any different food...... all of a sudden I felt and the stomach churning then the diarrhea...and it's Sunday Got a call into both Dr.'s and am awaiting the callback...... Maybe just the flu or a bug of some sort? I'm going to fix some broth with lots of sodium so I don't get low electrolytes...... I feel like crap Tracy

Hope you're feeling better this morning, Tracy. Once in a while I feel like this and nothing ever comes of it. Scares me though. One time they thought maybe I has a little blockage from scare tissue or something like that and it passed in about 3 days. Sure hope you can keep your PS schedule.

Hey Glenn Long time no see! Yep... I'm feeling better today I just recently had those kind of scares...but from my trip to the ER on Feb 20th... I know for a fact all is good with the pouchie and GB Tracy

Hi Debby I'm feeling better today... thanks! Did I mention that we think this was caused by me taking WAY too much chewable vitamin C? Never again!!! I am trying to do anything not to get sick before I'm up on the table for PS on the 28th!! Tracy

I felt like this yesterday morning, Im two weeks out and when I took my morning meds with my water, I felt all hot inside, and aweful. For the first time I felt like I was going to throw up..but I knew there was not food in there. I asked my nurse yesterday and said it was frothing, and that my water was probably to cold and shocked my pouch. I tell you that pouch has a mind of its own..LOL Hope all works out for you and you feel better.
