Anybody been denied and used Walter Lindstrom to get approved???

We have met with our PCP to start the process with BCBS PPO. I was wondering if anyone else has BCBS PPO and has been denied for the 12 month documented doctor visists and has used Walter Lindstrom for their appeal to be approved. Thanks in advance Wendy

I know someone who used Walter Lindstrom and was completetly and totally disappointed. She couldn't get him to help her in any way, shape or form. He didn't return calls nor did he do anything to actively fight on her behalf (other then write a letter, I think). As far as I know, she never got approved and it had been over a year for her. If she did eventually get approved, it had nothing to do with him.

Walter Lindstrom was wonderful in getting my appeal together and overturning the original decision! I have Cigna PPO and they denied because they wanted 6 consecutive months with doctor visits. The appeal was held before my sixth visit, and the decision was over turned. Mr. Lindstrom and his office were wonderful, supportive and responsive! But they did require some work from me - I had to follow through with the doctor's visits, and had to obtain all my medical records and send them out to his office in California. He sent the first appeal request about two months after I started speaking with him. The letter was 28 pages long, and included my history as well as legaleeze and discussion about weight loss surgery in general. His letter demanded an immediate overturn of their decision, and lacking that requested that the hearing be scheduled as soon as possible. I was very pleased with his support and follow-up. The hearing was held via telephone, and I had my answer within twenty minutes of hanging up the phone! Good luck!

Walter helped me and I was very satisfied with his office. I have CIGNA PPO and over 600 pages of medical documentation. It took a couple of appeals, but he did get the job done. Karen
