Fashion consultant in the Chicago area

if you find one let me know. my clothes tend toward the boring, but when I look at more modern stuff, I worry that I will look foolish or like I am trying to look like a teenager at 45. ( that is a baaad look! ) I just want to look like a fashionable 45 y/o. too many years of shooping at lane bryant and other stores where the selection was minimal and usually ugly & when I would find something passable would buy 2 or 3 or the same style in black, or navy blue.
Val, how was the appointment with Stephen yesterday? I go back in 2 weeks because of the incisicion was still healing from the stitches that were sufacing. It is healing fine but he still needs to see me to make sure that there aren't any more coming though. Dang, we are going to the Dells tomorrow and I still cannot go in a pool for another week. I kind of figured that before I even asked the question. Most of his patients that were in the waiting room while I was there were pushed on through pretty fast last night because he had a patient waiting for him in the ER. That was ok because he answered my ??? fast. I told him that we are going to discuss future procedures in 2 weeks, but he had already knew that was coming up.
About the fashion consultant. I was at Marshall Fields in Bloomingdale on Sunday and asked the clerk there if they have the service and she said that they do, they are called "Personal Shoppers". Woodfield and Bloomingdale both have them. Doesn't Springhill have a Fields? You could ask there about the service. I am also going to call Nordstroms and Lord and Taylor. I did find 3 really good books at the book stores. 2 at Borders and 1 at Walden books. Here are the titles: "Color Me Beautiful's Looking Your Best Color, Makeup, and Style" by Mary Spillane and Christine ( I like her name!) Sherlock and "Looking Good" A comprehensive guide to wardrobe planning, color and personal style developement. By Nancy Nix-Rice. Those 2 from Borders. and "What You Wear can change your life" By Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine. I got this one at Walden Books. I have been reading them and I have already been able to glean several tips out of them.
Like I said we will be out of town for a few days, I have a long week-end at work, one vacation day and Monday is Columbus Day. So, we are heading out of town to our favorite place, The Dells. May not see any e-mails for a few days.

Hi Chris: Although I am not a "professional" fashion consultant, I do actually have a very keen eye for fashion, etc. and have done so for many family members and friends. As a matter of fact, I am consulting with a church member who only recently asked me to help her with her wardrobe needs.
Here is a link to my picture trail, just to let you see a little bit of my life since surgery:

Nordstrom and the higher-end stores do have such a service available to their customers. If you would like more info, or if I can help you personally, please feel free to e-mail me.
