IDPA help!!!

OK, the doctor we were going with is not a provider of IDPA. I cannot find a phone number from IDPA on how to get approval of the surgery. One number I called said I cannot get the surgery done by a non IDPA provider. Is this true? Have we wasted 6 mths for nothing by having the wrong doctor? Someone help us please!!

Hi I don't really have an answer for you but I do know that the CORI center in Harvey Illinois takes the medicaid card. I went for a consult at the end of July and will be having surgery November 9. If I can help any further email me! Good luck Anita

Well sorry to tell you ,but thier right if he dont except IDPA then it was a waste,and sometimes the doctor will except and the hospital wont and thats a waste unless you pay for the hospital stay which i have heard of some ppl doing.I had mine done by Dr.Oliphant in Urbana he excepts IDPA.Hope i have been any help if you have anymore ??? just e-mail me..

Well the information you were given is right unless the surgeon is on the IDPA list he can't do the surgery well unless you pay out of pocket.. the surgeons office can however apply to be a IDPA surgeon and that process takes a few weeks. I have a list of surgeons who take IDPA I havent added Cori center yet but they do accept it. They are listed on my profile. so you can find a new surgeon or talk to the surgeons office and ask them to get IDPA approval. Good Luck! Debby

On your list Deb, I have called every single one of them at this time they arent accepting patients at this time...
