I think I started getting hungry at about 6 mths out maybe a little longer! I started at 265lbs, got to goal at 13 mths out, 140lbs is where I have been since. I always thought I wanted to be 120-130lbs but I look good at 140lbs, my bosy likes this weight. I remeber never eing hungry but forced myself to eat! Well now I am 2.5 yrs out! Wow what a journey! Had a full tummy tuck at 18 mths out! I went from a size 10 to an 8, did not lose any inches or pounds but am so glad not to have skin hanging! I think I have programed myself to "eat" I know we need the nutrition. At least thats what I tell myself! I am sure your time to get hungry is just around the corner! Hay if not "Thats Great" I get really moody when I have not ate! Good Luck on your journey! See ya lighter! Cyndi

Julie, what you are going through is very common. My REAL hunger did not come bac****il I was about 18 months out maybe a couple months more. Why I said REAL hunger was is because I like many of us have a lot of head hunger. Believe me enjoy not having any hunger right now because it will come back with a vengence. This is why they call the 18 month time the honeymoon period, it is the time to loose as much as you can after that it (for many, not all) it is a struggle to loose much more after that. Or the person will only loose 1-2# a month. But getting back to you. Just make sure that you are getting enough calories in a day to make sure that your body does not go into starvation mode especially if you are doing some heavy duty exercise. Reevaluate your calories to see if you need more if you go into a stall for a length of time. This non hunger time is for you to now get your life style changes made so when you do slow down on the loss you have a handle on how you are to live for the rest of your life. Take care and ask any other questions that you may have or send an e-mail. Chris

Julie, Right around 7 months, I suddenly regained my appetite, and from talking to others at the support group meetings, that seems to be pretty common. I hope you can make one of the meetings sometime, there's one at Barix on the second Monday of the month and one at OSF on the last Monday of the month. I always post the meeting notice, so maybe we'll see you next time. Terry
