I have a friend in Colorado that is basically starving to death. She is thinking of getting her RNY reversed. She has Medicaid and Medicare. Her surgeon says he won't reverse it. Is there certain doctors who specialize in reversals? Has anyone had it reversed? She has a sister in the Indy area and she is thinking of traveling here to have it done. She is on a pic-line for nourishment. When she eats she claims that nothing will stay down. She had her RNY done in 2008 and started out at 350 she is now down to 120 and feels like she is dying a little at a time. Can anyone help me with information on getting this done? Thanks!

Call St. Vincenst bariatrics and they will get you a consult with one of the doctors. Then you will see Dr. Gomez, the doctor that the first post told you about. You may need a referral from your family doctor depending on your insurance carrier. If he won't give you a referral, see another doctor just to get the referral. The new doctor doesn't have to know you are not going back. Do what you have to do...
