Gloria, thank you so much! It's strange after all these years of struggling with my weight that someone can say that I'm inspirational with my weight loss. That's really sweet of you!. I'm doing much better now, but that day I was miserable. Everyone's compliments, support and advice really helped me get over that emotional and embarrasment hump. Thank you so much! ~Alyssa

I'm sorry your feeling sad. I'm sending good vibes your way! The chair issue does suck. But just think how you would've felt if you knew you weren't on the road to being "skinny". 55 pounds is 4 months is an outstanding weight loss (I know you know this already). Hang in there. Tomorrow will be much better, think positive. sending love your way, Amy

Amy thank you so much! I think I got your positive vibes! I felt so much better after reading all of your posts and good days are here again. I actually lost 2 pounds this past week when I thought I lost none! If I was still in a funk with that chair issue, I would not have enjoyed it as much! Thank you so much sweetie! ~Alyssa

Don't be so hard on yourself! I'm sure we all have had some kind of a "chair" issue or something similar...that's why we're here! The difference between you and everyone on this board compared to those that are not in here...YOU/we are all doing something about it!!!! I know it's an awfuly feeling, but you have done great for yourself! You have already lost 55 pounds FOREVER! Just keep looking ahead to those days when the chair doesn't get stuck to your butt and you don't here it creek anymore! It would be different if you weren't taking the neccessary steps to fix the problem, but Alyssa...you have already done it! Keep your head up and look to the positive things that you have already accomplished. Remember the baby steps thing. It won't happen overnight, but 55lbs in 4 months is NOTHING to sneeze at! Keep up the good work and do't be so hard on yourself. And, if it makes you feel any better that stupid chair...it was probably cheaply made anyway! Good luck and keep smiling! We're ALL here for ya! Crystal, Thank you so much!. You are so sweet and have such a big heart. You really know what to say to a gal when she's had a bad day! I love my band and everything that I've accomplished with it. When you get one of those bad days, it's hard to ignore those self-abusive feelings. You guys really helped me get over that feeling and let me have great days after the bad one (I lost 2 more pounds when I thought I lost nothing)! Thank you again! ~Alyssa

Hi We have all had those kind of days!! I just got back from vacation- and thought I had done so well managing my food choices with all the temptations. I did gain 3 pounds which took over 2 weeks to lose- what bugs me is how can I gain those pounds in such a short time, and take so long to lose them? NO FAIR! You have done great- there are stresses involved in going to school, but get out there- it's hard to ward off other people's views of you- but just get out there!!! You will feel better after you exercise. I remember when I broke a leg on a bar stool at my Mother-in-laws- who is very thin- she said- that should be a clear indication you need to lose weight!!!! she has bugged me for 30 years!!!! I just poof her off. I am the only one in the family that took care of her when she got cancer. I will probably get the last laugh- she has smoked all these years instead of eat, and it didn't do her any good. WE have finally agreed= she is addicted to nicotine, and I am addicted to food- oh well!!!! Take care- Cheryl ps. Be thank-ful you are in Florida- I live in the plains of Kansas- it is yukky here- windy high of 60 today, and down to 40 tonight. I would trade places with you in a heartbeat- anything to get out of Kansas!!!

Cheryl, I can't believe your mother-in-law said that to you! That is a horrible thing to say to someone! I'm so afraid to sit on bar stools for the reason of breaking them... I just usually avoid "cheap" chairs... wish I did the other day. Thank you so much for your support. I really do love exercise, and getting those "why is SHE EVEN here looks" is tolerable when I'm in exercise clothes, but in my bathing suit, it's like my armor isn't on (does that make sense?). I hope the weather is better there in Kansas! It was in the high 90's today... really hot! I am waiting for the high 70's... love that weather! Thank you again! ~Alyssa

Hi Alyssa, Don't really have much to add, but I hope you feel better. AND just want you to know that you are one of the folks on here that really give me inspiration. I am waiting to have surgery and don't post often, but always read the posts here. Don't know if you are aware of this today, but you are doing a really great job and I always enjoy reading your posts (on good days or bad). Be well!! Cristina

Christina, Hearing that I am an inspiration to you is one of the best compliments you could give me.! Thank you! I've struggled with my weight for so many years and when I felt good about losing the pounds, I break a chair... it was a low blow to my self-confidence... but all the support and love you guys gave me really helped me get out of that "fat day feeling" and have good days after that. Thank you so much! I absolutely love my band and all the wonderful support that I have! ~Alyssa
