  1. Name one thing that finally pushed you to have weight loss surgery (I realize there may be many, but try to keep your answer to one)  I saw a graphic on a web site.  It was a figure of a person with arrows pointing to the different parts of the body with the different comorbidities named.  It said cured or reduced after each one (with WLS)
  2. Have you ever seen a tornado? No, earthquake, yeah, the big one but no tornados.
  3. Harry Potter: yes or no? Yes, my daughter was a expert on canon HP for a while
  4. Have you ever eaten pet food?  How did it taste? No, yuck.
  5. Did you ever cheat on a test?  Did you get caught? No, goodie, goodie here.

Aww, Statistics, yuck! I took this class cause I needed it for my major and for the school I was transfering to. I bare skimmed though (Then I went off and changed my mind about schools and majors and now it counts as...get this....an elective!! Ugh, I would have taken almost anything in the world other than Statistics if I knew it was going to be just an elective.

  1. Name one thing that finally pushed you to have weight loss surgery? Among many other reasons, health concerns topped the list. I'm relatively healthy, but the 100 extra pounds put me at increased risk for diabetes. My aunt had diabetes so severely that she was unable to have chemo to fight off cancer and she passed away. I take after her a lot genetically and didn't want to be as high risk for diabetes so the excess weight had to GO.
  2. Have you ever seen a tornado?  No, but I've seen a baby-poop green "tornado sky" as my mother (who's from the midwest) described it. Pretty eerie.
  3. Harry Potter: yes or no? Yes. Brilliant storytelling.
  4. Have you ever eaten pet food?  How did it taste?  I ate dry cat food once on a dare from my brother when I was about 4 years old. I remember it being very crunchy and quasi-chicken flavored. To this day, I still tease him about having the best teeth out of my siblings!
  5. Did you ever cheat on a test?  Did you get caught? Nope.

  1. Name one thing that finally pushed you to have weight loss surgery (I realize there may be many, but try to keep your answer to one) I never would say anything "pushed" me to it, it was sort of handed to me, but my desire to have it done was being tired of not living to my fullest.
  2. Have you ever seen a tornado? No, thank goodness. All we have are dirt devils.
  3. Harry Potter: yes or no? YES!
  4. Have you ever eaten pet food? How did it taste? I probably ate a piece of dry dog food as a kid, I don't remember it being bad.
  5. Did you ever cheat on a test? Did you get caught? Yes, no.

1.  Tired of struggling, tired of losing and regaining, depression, couldn't wipe my own ass.

2.  Not really, but I was in Oklahoma Christmas 1982 wih my family and we had tornado .... our family friends joked that it was a present to us from Tulsa.   I have been through a few earthquakes here in Seattle, the largest one in 2001 I've ever experienced and then small earthquake on January 30th at around 5 am when I was on pain meds and just went to bed, felt my bed move several times, I thought I was tripping, and later found out on the news that we had an earthquake.

3.  No.

4.  Eww. no!

5.  Yes, in 10th grade, i stole algebra text answer book that had every steps in the problems.  I copied that every day for homework, but failed every tests! LOL   Well, the teacher told us that the answer book was stolen.    Next year I confessed to it! LOL

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

Name one thing that finally pushed you to have weight loss surgery (I realize there may be many, but try to keep your answer to one) - My car accident in 2006 due to my sleep apnea with my DD in the car (flipped but both OK!) is what made me willing to take more "drastic" meausres to improve my health.
  2. Have you ever seen a tornado? YEP like it was literally in my backyard just about.  We get them near here a lot!
  3. Harry Potter: yes or no? YEA BABEE I love the Po-ers.......I could totally DO Harry I have a thing for geeks!!!
