...should be renamed Jillian Michaels DEAD...cause thats what I am likely to be in the next 30 days.

I just got my dvd today so I tried it out. I did 4 minutes. Thats right, I said FOUR (and that was a struggle) I can't do even one real push up and my thighs are still burning an hour later.  holy geez I suck!

Thank goodness I popped this in the dvd player before the 1st though cuz thats when I am starting Bella's exercise challenge. This gives me 5 days to get some sort of build up to doing the full work out.

Thanks for listening to me whine.

Haha, Sarah, I totally agree-- torture!

I put that DVD away for awhile and I am currently letting Jilian kick my butt on the Wii every day while I work back up to the SHRED.

One of my suggestions for any other newbies, wear a sports bra! The first time I tried those darn jumping jacks, I thought I'd put an eye out. LOL You know the part where Jillian says, you are probably waiting for me to give you a easier version, I was sooo like WOO HOO, then she dropped that bomb, Well, I'm NOT!! I did my push ups leaning against the wall or against the couch at first.
I'm with you, it will be kicking my butt, come the 1st. It's been sitting in my cabinet for months now, I only did it, probably 4 days, last time. This time, I hope I can do it the 30!!

Well unfortunately I got jipped and hardly have a need for a sports bra, lol, however I am still hurting today from the squats. It was torture. I went for a walk with dh, and am taking the kids to the drive in so I won't get a chance to do much tonight, but I want to try a little of everything on the dvd to at least warm up some of these muscles that haven't been getting used before the real take off on Thursday.

You inspired me to get this DVD - only $9 at Target - and my husband and I are trying it in the morning. I sure hope it kicks my ass. :)

I hope you like it. I can't speak much fir the rest of the DVD but it starts off with squats. Which seriously seemed simple enough. What I learned is that although I climb stairs daily I do not use these muscle much. Ouch ouch ouch. My short term goal is to just make these stiff muscles I never use wake the hell up. Bella is startig a 30 shred challenge starting on the first if you want to join us.

Hey Sarah I don't know what happened to my last reply, it is blank, I must have deleted it somehow, Not computer savy! I joined Bella's 30 day challenge, but reading some of the replies I don't know if I will be able to keep up with the DVD. I am a strong beginner ( I guess)I walk about 3miles it takes an hour and I go to Curves, not very hard, I know I have to kick it up a knotch if I want to make my goal in June. I see they sell it at Walmart, It sounds like PAIN!I am wondering should I still try?

It sounds like you are working at around the same fitness level as me or above and I am going to give it a go. I started a bit early because I am so out of shape and need a slow beginning. I think you should jpi us. If it's too muc take it at your own pace. Don't feel like you have to do her entire workout if you can't. My goal for the 30 days may turn out to be just make it through the whole thing once, lol

one thing for me is to just challenge myself to get moving. I have not been dedicated to it at all over this journey. I hope you will join us. We can inspire one another
