I usually get the Brown Cow when I buy Greek yogurt.  I really like it so I haven't taken the initiative to try any other kind.

When you tried the "fuit on the bottom" variety, did you stir it up first or eat it until you reached the fruit on the bottom?   That kind is definitely better if stirred first.

I stired it up.  I guess I was not expecting it to be sooo thick.

ok, whew, I was thinking ... eeewwww!!   LOL

Greek yogurt definitely took some getting used to, but it's worth the added protein versus some other kinds.  I only use plain as a substitute for sour cream, but I eat the fruit ones all the time.

I get the Fage 0% so it has no fat in the plain but I like to add a few drops of sugar free flavored syrups or I add sugarfree instant pudding in any flavor, makes it like a cheesecake dessert!

I don't buy Greek yogurt anymore. I make my own!  I saw this on Food Network and it works.  I get a big container of plan low fat yogurt, get a colander and put a coffee filter in the colander.  I put the yogurt in the coffee filter and put the colander in a bowl or pot then put it in the fridge for at least six hours. The whey drops out through the filter and it becomes thicker.  I was told the protein count goes up some due to the drop in the amount of whey but I don't know by how much, I would need to check FN for the show and recipe again.  It is cheaper then buying the other Greek yogurt.  Try it and see. I put a pinch of fruit preserves (some sugar free and sometimes not sugar free, using what's on hand) and it is very good.

Someone may have already said this, but we buy the plain kind and use it as sour cream.  tastes just as good.

The only kind we can get in my area is Oikos and I love it, but it did take getting used to.  I much, much prefer the thicker, creamier texture of Greek yogurt now, and regular "light" yogurt tastes thin and fake to me now.  It's more satisfying than regular yogurt somehow.  I like the 0% with honey flavor (I add a Truvia for extra sweetening) and usually mix it with fresh fruit.  I use the 0% plain flavor instead of sour cream or in any recipes that call for plain yogurt.

Be very careful with yogurt, not all are created equal or even good for you!

Always check the sugar content when purchasing flavored yogurts.  Remember, anytime the manufacturers lower fat they usually up the sugar to enhance the flavor.

I try to keep my yogurt under 100 calories per serving with less than 10 g of sugar per serving.

Kroger brand labeled "lite" or Carbmaster are what I use.

Regarding Greek yogurts, I don't find a lot of difference between brands, but I always buy the NF Plain and add my own fruit with a packet of sweetner or 1 tsp honey.

Any flavored yogurt can be high in sugars so I find it best to add my own goodies to the plain.
