(laughing) I woke up convinced that I had been in a car accident, and no one could convince me otherwise.

It may take a couple of days to bounce back. Some people feel great right out of the gate, but for me, it was 4 or 5 days.

Congratulations, and welcome to the Losers' Bench.

I felt like I had been hit by a truck. My daughter was only 19 and bounced back very quickly, while I was dying....dying I tell you !

I woke up and kept complimenting the nurse and said to her "ohh, you're wearing a flower in your hair..." then I told her how I wanted to wear a flower in my hair on my surgery day but figured it would not be sterile...poor hospital people have to listen to all our crap :P

Good luck! Remember to keep walking and sipping and then sipping and walking! Also, some people have a bit of pain getting up and down with the port incision, I used a small pillow or stuffed animal to support it and it made all the diffrence!

I remember waking up and wanting to tell the Male Nurse "I Love You."  LOLOL...

Before I was totally under I remember my surgeon talking loudly at me saying "I'm not going to hurt you, I'm going to put in your Lap-Band."  Not sure if I was talking or not..lol.

I was tired for 4-5 days afterward.  I developed Bronchitis so I didn't feel back to normal for about 2 weeks!

LOL I remember coming to after an endoscopy and the doctor and PA where talking about cars and I yelled "Someone left the lights on in my Mercedes". 1) I don't own a Mercedes and 2) I am pretty sure no one left the lights on it. Those drugs make us crazy. LOL

I remember waking up on the operating table and wanting to roll into a ball. I looked at the nurse to my left and told her to "Take it out!". I didnt think that i would wake up in pain. I just remember it hurting....But after a few days I was back to normal...but I was off of work for 3 weeks :)

LOL Reading all the responses about what people said when coming around was hilarious.

I said, "I changed my mind" lol and then I just remember moaning or groaning and the nurse was talking to me like I was a puppy saying, "You're such a pretty girl, yes you are! A pretty girl!"

I probably would have hit her, I get kinda mean when I am coming out of it (hence the YELLING at the Doc and PA as I was coming too after my twilight sleep) LOL After my sleeve I just remember telling them that I had thrown up all over myself, and they kept telling me that I hadn't, but I would not take no for an answer and they finally got me a new gown just to shut me up LOL
