My mom approved-surgery in May

So my mom was approved by insurance and the first available surgery date was May 12th. I think she was a bit bummed it was so far off (compared to my 10 day wait), but it gives her time to prepare her work etc. I am like referral Queen. My friend is just starting the process with Dr. Loggins now after seeing me and my mom go through it. We should get a free bag of protein chips or something for sending so many people over there ha ha I have told my mom to get a screen name and start posting...she hasn't yet. So I wanted to update everyone. At least her whole summer won't be on liquids and soft foods.

Wonder why her date is so far off?? (Although mine was about a month out too......hhmmmm) Must be getting busy in that office!!!! Wish her my best! It'll be here before she knows it!!!!

I am so happy for her...we are all gonna be soooooooo healthy this summer! I think it is taking longer cause he is busier. I have heard he is bringing on an associate so that will prob eventually cut time wait time too. But as everyone else has said, it goes by quickly, and I feel surgery happens at just the right time for everyone. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Good for her that is awesome, I am happy for her and she is so lucky haveing you there to show her all the ropes. Man I'm really bummed about the date tho. Damn! I wonder if the waiting list is the same for Lap Band??? have any of you heard that?? well tell her congratulations...

Good for her! And she will be able to watch you go through it first and then you will be able to help her through it when she has her surgery. Sounds like perfect timing to me! Please give her my congrats!

that is awesome news. bummer she has to wait so long for her date though. i only had 7 days. i must have hit it just right. dr. loggins is getting very busy. remember when pre-op meetings were across the hall. now they have them in the big room. thank goodness he's got another surgeon in his office. if she gets him have her listen carefully. he has a very thick accent. i could hardly understand him. he is very kind and gentle so if she gets him she's in good hands.

I don't think that new guys has started yet, I hear from Corinne that he was just here visiting, but, wasn't sure when he was to begin. I hope he has tho, cause I want this done, S#$T!!

It is much further out than mine was. I think they are getting busy, busy, busy! When I started the process early Fall there weren't too many people at the meetings...looks like that word of mouth is spreading fast!
