So I have not been on much lately.  Work has been busy, babies have been a handful too.  I found out that I am going to Vegas in June for a tradeshow!  So we got a ticket for my hubby to go to and it will be a mini vacation!  I am SOOOOO excited and we need the break away.  My mom is THE BEST and has offered to watch the babies for us.  It's a lot of work I am so greatful. So I have 6 weeks before we leave.  I have no idea what I will do about clothes!  I have a bunch of capri pants etc that zip up fine, but I have a nice big 'ol stomach there that is unattractive.  Same thing with some dresses I have....fit, except the stomach area doesn't look good.  I don't think I want to be doing a girdle in 100+ degrees.  I wish I knew how my body is going to change in the next 6 weeks.  Either I will have a ton of clothes (skirts, dresses, capris, shorts) that will fit (left over from the last time I was smaller---well 14ish) or I will have absolutely nothing.  I would hate to have to buy new stuff. I guess I am in for lots of crunches and anything I can do to rev up some weightloss. I plan to pack my achiev (glass bottles so a little scary), and bring beef jerky with me.  Any pointers for travelling after WLS?

Sorry I can't help with advise since travel is not in my future lol, but I wanted to wish you the best. By that time you should be able to have protein bars right? That is always an option I get the pure protein ones cause they had the lowest sugar and higher protein. Have a super fantastic time on your little vacation.

Sounds fun! I always carry almonds with me. In the care, in my desk, in the diaper bag etc. I really like the blue diamond bolds ones, especially the salt and vinager ones. SOOOO yummy and in a conveninent little tin. You could pack some of those! SOrry I can't be more helpful on the clothing situation .... I'd personally wait until the last minute and then show if I had to! Have a blast! - Summer

What an awesome Mom you have!!  I'm so jealous.  I agree with Summer, wait and see and shop last minute if you need to.  I suggest checking the airline about the glass bottles...do they allow you to take them on the plane?? HAVE A BLAST!!!!

I waited and bought most of my summer clothes just before we went to mexico.   I  planned on a  blazer that i would wear with my jeans  to travel on but when i  went and tried ti on  it was way to big so i nexed that idea.   I carried  protein bars in my   bag and was some glad i did.  After we got thru security i got a couple bottles of water to have in my   carry on.     I wished i had taken my   unjury with me as i had to eat alot of fruit instead of protein   have agreat trip

Good morning, I am traveling now...brought protein powder x 2 zip lock bags in my checked bag along with a shaker bottle. Also made a batch of protein balls and took them with me!! Great for munchies and in betweens. Have had a bit of difficulty getting in all my fluids because I am out of my routine. Bottled water is everyhere of course so that is no problem. Profect has 25 gr protein "shots" that comein plastic tubes, easy to take.  But bubble wrap and zip lock the others in checked luggage...Clothes??? Girl ,pack light and shop out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try some of the new fashion empire waisted shirts and dresses(i know,I know they look a bit like maternity) but they will be great to cover a not so perfect tummy, a so cute over capris. WE'll honk you along until then, so NO WORRIES!!! hugs, kate

one thing i always pack is a soft, foldable cooler, you can fill with ice and always stop at store when you get to your destination, to buy yogurt or to hold left overs from dinning out, that way you always have something to snack on in your room.  you'd be surprised what they sell in airports for foods, i agree with Kate, bring some protein powder w/ you just in case.  have a great trip. oh, and don't stress about your belly, long baggie tops in style, you'd be surprise what you can find and tops will go with you for many sizes to come, wait till last minute for bottoms.  hope you win big bucks... good luck.........cheryl
