Excited! Its my turn...yehaaaaa

Well I have even better news today...I did so well with the breathing tests and all that my pulmonary dr said he will sign off so I can go to surgery, cause my sleep apnea is mild so he said what I was doing with the bi pap machine was fine...most people have it bad and he likes to see them use it for 4 hours.  He said my 2 hours was a lot better than I was doing and to try and get it up more but that he was not going to hold me back from having surgery...Before it was just that he was worried because he didn't have the full sleep study report but this time he did...I was looking at 4 months or more in time til surgery date now it looks like it will be sooner...They will get the report over to Lynn and then in 2 weeks, so by the end of the month or first week in June I should see Dr. Clough and then wait for insurance and then get a surgery date hopefully soon after...Wow you guys are all right it has gone pretty fast so far...Thanks for all the support...

That is great news....can't wait to see what date you get. I have the over night sleep study the 21st and then I have the dietitian apt. June 11th, a date will be made after that to see the surgeon.  I'm happy for you...

Are you having Dr. Clough or Dr. Toder?  Just curious if you chose open or lap so you didn't have to wait so long.  That is an option for me also.....

Thanks for all your well wishes everyone...I am having Dr. Clough and having the open procedure only because I don't want to wait forever...There is a waiting list with Dr. Toder and it could be forever so I am going with him...I haven't met with him yet but from the way they were talking I should be within 3 weeks...I feel very comfortable with him even before meeting him because he has been doing this since 1979 I believe it is...I have read a lot of people's comments when I googled his name and even though I wanted the lap band I am comfortable having the open...Thanks again for all the support...

I considered and am still considering having Dr. Clough do my surgery also because I didn't want to wait forever.  Was there a reason you didn't want Dr. Huang?  I'm only curious because I have made my consult appointment with Dr. Huang who can do my lap surgery in June.  I still have time to change to Dr. Clough......Lynn said he could do my surgery by the end of this month.  Did you even consider Dr. Huang?  What have you heard about him (if anything).  thanks for any imput.  I sure do appreciate it!
