how did it go?

WEll, to be honest, I am a little annoyed... I got there and a look of horror came over Kim's face, and she looked at her computer and back at me...so...I'm thinking, do I have the wrong day, and then I know I don't because it has been written into my date book since my 2 week appoint.  So she said, it was fine, i would be seen... Crystal came in in about 5 minutes, said she was going to take pics and that I was going to see this new nurse, Michael, because...here it comes....DR.LOGGINS IS ON VACATION...WHAT????????? Now, at my 2 week, he was out of town and I saw a really nice DR who was on call for DrL but I knew about that.  This one they just dropped the ball, completely...I haven't seen my surgeon since the hospital and helpful so that went well, I am always nice, after all.  After him, came Corinne. Wel, not good, I have not been journaling, so really had no idea how many calories I am eating, did and do know to the number by protein grams and fluids, but not calories,,,hhmmmm.not what shewanted to hear.  And that was just the beginning. I added B 12 without asking, must not be chewing properly because I have had food stuck 3 times and vomited, honestly ...I just wanted to go home... Now this is all in the context that I have LOST 48% OF MY EXCESS BODY WEIGHT IN 2 MONTHS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I worked it out and we were all smiling by the time I was done. I really want to see him at my 6 mo in Oct, tho. Trying not to feel sorry for myself! So that is my story!! and why I didn't hop right on and share, I was still trying to be ok with it all.... Thanks Cheryl!!

Hi Kate!  I kinda figured something hadn't gone quite right when you didn't post right away!  I'm sorry Dr L wasn't there for your visit! Wow!  Can't imagine why you haven't seen him..that's wayyyy bizarre!  It IS WICKED awesome how much you have lost though!  Glad you could rejoice in that!  The B12 thing.....I asked about that at my 2 week follow up and Corinne made it sound like if I wanted to take it..then go ahead, but it wasn't necessary.   Maybe she was just in a poopy mood?  I know she didn't sound too happy when I spoke to her yesterday either...hmmm?!?! 

Well......I am proud of you for you loss so far!  I think you are doing great!  Keep it up!  Hope you get to actually see Dr L for your next visit!  I'd call and confirm that he'll be there next time....or reschedule..haha!  honks!!!!!!  Ruth

I"m sorry Kate, I can understand why you were annoyed, I was wondering why you hadn't written.  Cause I knew you hadn't gainned weight and what else could go wrong.  guess they have blunders too, I've been journalling, but not printing it all out.  I am waiting for a whipping by Corinne also, cause she wanted me to do 600 cal. I havn't done that.  I hope Dr. L is there on Tues for my fill, I would think he would pass the word on if he isn't gonna be there.  Did Kim call you last week?  they usually call a few days before. You have done so well with everything, i am sure you are an easy customer.  Maybe corinne had a bad customer right before you. Well, you don't have to go till Oct. my goodness, you'll be at goal by then. NO blood work or nothing?  wow, that is long.  you'd think he would want that checked more often. hmmm?? I am curious on what foods you got stuck on.  was it meat or bread? I hope you are doing better tonight, at least they fit you in even with Nurse Michael...  have a great weekend, you going camping?  hope the weather report changes, although we really need some rain, but not on weekends.  take care Toots,  Hugs and Honks, Cheryl

I haven't seen my surgeon since my Surgery day.  I know all surgeons are different and I was a little shocked as well.  But there is no real reason to see the surgeon unless something is wrong.  SO this is kind of  a good thing!!

Wow Kate I haven't had my log since pre op when I saw Corinne. She has never even asked for it but I did know my general calories which I do keep logged. I suppose that was good enough for her. I must be doing something right. I have been a little lax lately with my measuring and logging though I need to get back with the program. Kate next time call ahead of time and make sure Dr L will in fact be there. You have the right to actually see him.

THanks everyone...I really am over it, I lost another 2 pounds overnight....WHAT?? I guess that is my reward!! lol, it is just deciding to come off right now, I am sure this will slow down again, and I might be at this weight for awhile and it is OK.  I am sooooooooooooo much better than I was 2 months ago, I just refuse to let snafu's dictate how I feel about myself and feeling better. I do have to have blood work done soon, when I get in to a clinic for blood work...I have a lab slip, will have that done over here. Our local hospital and a drs office with lab belongs to CMMC so that is a good thing. I might go today to get that done. Loves to all my peeps and thanks for your support and honks!!

ahhhhh, you still have bloodwork done, ok, mama's happy.. I thought Oct. was a long time to wait for another visit to Dr's...  I don't blame you for doing it closer to home.  I'm doing my daily intown trip today too... whoohooo !! Walmart here I come.  My little man has the day off so I'm bringing him shopping then dropping him off to respite for a whole week.   gotta use up his days before July 1st. 

I have all my bloodwork done in Bridgton so much closer for me then going to Lewiston.
