Mom update!

I just got home and am too tired to talk! Everything went ok and she's in a room now. She had some scar tissue around her spleen that Dr. Loggins was able to remove. She had a hard time getting her pain under control and she's not really very comfortable now but she's on Morphine so hopefully that will get better. I'll be going back first thing in the morning with Jake! Thanks so much for all the well wishes. When she's back to herself I'll let her know! :) - Summer

Hope you get some rest Summer! Wish your Mom well for me, please. Must have been who Dr. L was in surgery with while I was downstairs having a swallow study and upper/lower GI for severe pain. NO blockage, TG, but could have an issue with my colon. Dr. L was in surgery and only available by phone for consult. Hope your Mom's pain gets under control soon. Take care, Stephanie

Thanks for the update Summer. Get some rest! You know your mom is in good hands there at the hospital! They will help her get the pain under control. The first day is the toughest, as I'm sure you remember! I'll be thinking about you both! Keep us posted! hugs and honks! Ruth

Good to know her surgery is over and she is starting her recovery. I hope her pain is much better today. Before she knows it she will barely remember this part :) We're thinking of her!
