i am breaking from my laps around the surgical unit. I never thought i would want to toot soo bad in all my life but its just not happening for me yet. So I have been walking quite a bit and things are going quite well.

i am feeling quite well all uin all besides from the pressure and discomfort on the belly. I am taking the pain meds when suggested.

I just wanted to give you all a heads up on my progress.

back to walking now . . . . i want to get outta here today !!

That is awesome.  I found the best place to pass gas was sitting in the bathroom.  I think that because it was more of a "natural" setting, it helped.  Good luck and welcome to the fantastic ride.

PS I also took pain meds every 4 hours up until discharge.  I never had sever pain and once home I haven't required but one or two doses.  I found it much better to take the meds befor I got into pain so I wouldn't have to play catch up... Good Luck.
