I'm Back!!!!! and have missed you all!

Hey Everyone,

I have missed you all!!! Especially my Mamag!

Just got back from 2 weeks in Australia visiting my family with my son Dylan, it was awesome to see everyone again, not to mention the really nice weather, and NO SNOW AT ALL LOL!

I am down to 259 from 341 since October 31st, and was going through a whole bunch of the "I'm not loosing weight quick enough like everyone else is" whines. But I think that I am getting over that. Isn't it amazing that we can loose so much fat so fast and still look in the mirror and not see it, I still have problems when people tell me how good I look, the first thing out of my mouth is " oh I have a lot more to go, I am still a heffer, but thank you"

I need to work on that and just say thankyou, I feel great.

I have been lurking on the board even when I was in Australia so I have seen all the great news from you gals, and it is wonderful to see my pal Cheryl back posting her yummo recipies, Cheryl, you rock girl I have said it before and I'll say it again, you are awesome!

Hubby and I attended at thing at DHS last night about Kiddos waiting to be adopted, and we saw a child there that once did respite with us 2 years ago before we got Dylan, he wasn't in a position to be adopted then but he is now, so the department said that they would start the ball rolling so we could meet up with him again and hopefully he will want to come and live with us!!! I am really excited and nervous again, I'll keep you all informed and I will try to be a better poster!!!

OMG Tony, I am so happy to see you back,  I was so sad I thought you had forgotten us.  I forgot about your trip.  What a beautiful place Austrailia is, someday???  Your weight loss is "Superb"  and stop it!  your not a Heffer.  I know after years of looking at ourselves in the mirror and being "Displeased" we are trainned to do that.  Try this as a reminder.  Whenever you say something like that, your son will pick it up and say the same about himself, and I know you don't want that.  Show him your confidence and strength and one day, he will stand tall and strong and you will be able to say, "Damn, Idid a good job raising him".  as much as I hate being told i'm wrong, I love it when my son tells me "Mom, lets talk, this isn't right, your wrong here, think about it".  makes me proud.  Kids are wonderful (SOMETIMES). hehe  

HOw wonderful about the kid your looking into.  wow, Best of LUck to you,  Keep up the great work.  add some pics of your vacation.

Sounds like you are doing well with your weight loss!  Amazing how long it takes for our brains to catch up with our bodies!  It's a work in progress, that's for sure!

Good luck with the new son prospect!  Hope it all goes well for ALL of you!

This weight loss journey is so strange, in that we know the goals and where we want to be, but others just see us in the "today" size. I too, am learning how to just say "thank you".

I can't imagine being so far from family and friends. Hope you had a wonderful time, saw everyone you wanted to visit and made great memories.

Welcome back, sounds like the weight loss is going well, and that you had a great vacation, good for you !!! I wish you sucess on the new family member, what a lucky young man !!!!

Dang - somehow I missed the fact that you are from Australia - cool. It's on my list of places to visit before I die.
