Lots of people here have had to crack the whip with their bariatric programs, or with their insurance providers.  Don't take it personally, just be your own advocate and make sure they keep your papers on top of their stack!

Good luck to you!

Debi...you aren't alone...I am struggling with that big time!!

I am hoping to get it back in control when I move back to MN on the 21st. I won't have all this wonderful cooking and extra carbs around. I have been so stressed out for months now. My depression has been so bad too. I need a change and I am the one that needs to make it!

Once I get settled in MN we can maybe help each other be more accountable. Lets think about that okay.

I had my meeting with my surgeon, Bradley Pierce, at the FVSD Weight Loss Clinic on 12/29/11.  Everything went great and he indicated that they would submit my paperwork for approval to HealthPartners that same day.  When I went to my NUT appt on 1/6/12, they seemed confused when I asked them if they had heard anything about my approval.  They stated that they needed my appt paperwork from 1/6 to send in.  Then I called yesterday 1/10 to see if they had sent it in because I was getting frustrated, and they said that they had not, but it appeared all of the paperwork was there and they would send it in.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this?  I am 2 lbs from my goal weight for pre-op, my mind is ready for the surgery, and now my clinic seems to be playing some kind of game.

Sometimes when I feel fluffy, I need to remind myself of how far I've come on this journey.

Sometimes, that involves going back through old profile entries, or some of the more heartfelt posts I've saved on here.

I just thought I'd share this old one with all you 'newer' people.  Hope it hits some buttons.

Keep on Truckin' ~

Hi Marsha,
How ironic. I was just checking out the WW web site for their online program. But I don't want to spend all that money. So if this is something we can all help each other out with...count me in.

Hey Nicole ~ congrats on the bambino, and finding your way back here!

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here, I hope you won't be offended.  Did you check with your OB/pediatrician regarding doing the 5 day pouch test while breast feeding?  I get that the scale is scaring you and that you want to get back to losing, but is it worth the potentially negative effect it could have on your milk supply, or the quality of milk your body produces for your baby?

Be uber careful now.  You won't get this precious time back.  Do everything you can to assure that your baby gets the quality and quantity of breast milk needed for such a crucial stage in his development - then you'll have no regrets.

Your tool will be there for you when you're ready, and so will we.
