Chapman Olive did RNY for two years at Cox.  I helped him do them.  He's the best laprascopic surgeon in Spfd.  I would call his office, he's a Cox Dr and may be able to help.  :D

hello this morning. what happened to everyone over the week end?

I just got  off the phone with Jeannie....she is up south of Chicago waiting for a load and then to Ohio....said she wouldnt be home for the COF meeting on the 28th and wanted everyone to know that she wouldnt be here but was sure missing everyone...
She is doing really good on weight loss and eating and water and vits. also getting lots of exercise....sounds like it ....she has lost 15 pounds this month ,,,,good girl Jeannie....she said she really hadnt been anywhere to get on thte computer....going to tell her to get the Verizon 4G
internet connector and she shouldnt have any trouble , then she can buy a a/c converter to plug into her cig ligther on the truck and into the computer to keep her battery full power and will not have to wait for a certain place to get online at. will have it all right in the cab of her truck... oh well i wont get to see her if she gets to come to the COF MEETING IN FEB ON THE 11TH  we will be gone....

well got to get busy...i am going thru some boxes again. yuck....lots of stuff , stuffin puff....it is weird how much stuff we have. good grief. but will put it all out for auction when we get back that is if we like it there and are going to do it for sure. Im really ready to do it now  lol ....i have read everything i can find on the internet good and bad about Ecuador....i feel like i know several people over there already , i have struck up quite a friendship with a couple of ladies. one of them owns a small little coffee shop in the one little town...she is just so sweet. cant wait to meet her in person. then i have quite a conversation with another guy that he is really anxious to meet us and take Joe fishing ...and Joe is anxious to go with him....the guy is a native  , has lived there all his life and has volunteered to be our interperture.....so that is great. we can take him with us in case we want to buy something that we need to know exactly what is going on ...lol ....

Yes i intend to have Skype when and if we go down there cause it is a really cheap way to talk to everone....cant wait.  you bet you and any or all would be more than welcome to come visit...would be such a great adventure for everyone. and would be so much fun .

Oh i did hear from Bec the other day....just wanted you to know...thanks i guess you were probably influnencial in getting her to email me lol  but what ever reason it is ok....

Hi, Mama Jan & MO Peeps:

It's been a good weekend.  Had a great deep tissue massage yesterday.  The owner of Megan's Oasis usually does my massages but she's been having a lot of pain in her thumbs so I went one of her employees.  This woman was wonderful.  I've been having a lot of pain in my hips again.  She did some type of Chinese late rial leg stretches on my legs and hips.  The first 10 minutes were painful but then it was wonderful!  She only charges 45/hour.  I'm going to start going back once a month.  I hadn't been in well over 6 months and I forgotten how much better I feel after a deep tissue massage.  This woman also used hot rocks after wards, she was GREAT!!  I'm wondering if I'd hurt Megan's feeling if I asked for her employee again?  Megan is also my neighbor.  Will see how it goes next month.  I did tell Megan I wanted that Chinese stuff done again.  The massage therapist told me it felt like bone on bone when she pressed on my hips.  Wouldn't surprise me at all.  It is so painful.  She showed me some stretches I can do at home and/or my husband or Jake can do on my legs which would help me.  She also said heat is my friend so I should be taking long hot baths.  I take showers but guess if it'll help my pain, then hot baths it will be!!

Played Bunko last night.  Haven't played in years and had forgotten how much I enjoy it.  Did NOT have one Bunko but was still fun!  Got up this morning and enjoyed church service.  Came home and hubby made lunch then we went out to dinner with some classmates.  One of our classmates, Pete, is a missionary in the Philippines and he and his wife and children were in town.  So some of us met for dinner.  It was nice to see all of them and great to see Pete and meet his wife & children.  He just got married 7 years ago.  He and his wife have adopted 2 children who are now 6 and 3 years old.  His wife is the same age as we are.  (I'm 48) I can't imagine having children that age when I'm this age! lol 

My class at JCCC was suppose to start last Thursday but they canceled it due to the snow.  I'm glad because I found Saturday at the bunko party that I need a textbook for the course!  I had already bought Microsoft Office 2010 but had NO idea about the textbook!  I'll probably have to buy it new but that's the price I pay for not paying attention!  Just hoping the Bookstore at the college has it.  I'll just go in an hour early tomorrow and purchase it before my class starts at 12:30.  I'm really looking forward to it.  The last class I took as LOTUS 123.  How many of you remember that one? It was the "Excel" of the day about 18 years ago! lol

Mama Jan - I can feel your excitement thru the computer when you write about getting ready for you adventure!  It's an exciting time in your life.  Will pray the Lord protects you and blesses your trip!!  Can't wait to hear, read and see all about it!  I'm with Barb though, will be said to see you go!!  But with the Internet and Skype we can still "see and talk" to you.  Not the same as those hugs though!  Maybe a bunch of us girls can plan a trip to come see you guys - once you get settled of course!  :)

Barbara - What a pleasant surprise to see your smiling face on the board this evening!!  I'm praying for you my friend!  Maybe we could meet one day after my class on Tuesday or Thursday for a late lunch/early supper?  Would be great to see you!  So your hubby is going to retire this year?  That's great!  It'll be a new chapter in your life.

Jo - will continue to pray for Greg.  I can imagine he is discouraged but hopefully he's learned his lesson and this will help him in the long run.  He's blessed to have you and your husband to be there for him!

Mo Peeps - come out, come out where ever you are!!  I've been trying to post more often.  This board was so lively a few years ago.  Let's try to "jump start" it again!

Well it is Sunday and no one has said a peep....im too busy to stay here for too long....washing spring and summer clothes that have been packed away....trying to get it all done so i can get the house in some sort of order and get the monthly bills all paid.
We have finally decided that we wont have Joes brother here while we are gone ...we dont want to have a 400 dollar electric bill for the next two months. ....will be shutting off the frig, water heater and put the heater on emergency heat only..or turn it off and only run the infrared heater ....anyway will see. might not use anything...if we turn off the water and drain the pipes and everything  it shouldnt be any problem should it?? nothing should bust if there isnt anything in the pipes should it???
anyway the direct tv said we could turn off the their service and not have to pay while we are gosohopefully all of this will keep us from having to worry about bills. i

well got to get busy and see what size suitcases i can take....we can each check one large bag wt 50 pounds and certain size so have to measure them....if i can get everything in one and maybe put another one inside the one so i will have an empty one to be able to bring back things for everyone in the other one lol ....
