Jan, it's crazy how insurance companies rule.  They made a mistake on a mail order for Max, sending only a month's supply instead of 90 days.  When he called they said the prescription was sent in wrong.  He paid $20 for a month's when it would have been $20 for 90 days.  So now the 90 costs us $40.

The older I get the more I hate cold weather.  It was 1 below zero this morning.

Good for that gas buying her house and not spending the money on the BF.  I'm sure she will be better off without him.  I call Max and I the boring Browns but we like our lifestyle.  It isn't glamorous or exciting but it suits us.

oh my is it ever going to warm up so i can go outside again....i hate being stuck in the house plus i am out of my narcolepsy meds so all i do is sleep....i am awake maybe a couple of hours and then back asleep again. i hate that. stupid insurance company dont they know this is an on going thing , forever type of stuff that wont go away but they make the doctor call them ever 2 months to get approval on it. and the cost even with them paying some is 45.00 i wish there was something that i could take that worked better. -----guess i could do meth lol yeah sure ....they want the doctor to prescribe another medication that is cheaper but is so much like speed that you cant tell the difference in how it does you plus it makes your heart race...guess they want them to prescribe that so i will have a heart attack and they wont have to pay for this lol ....

hopefully my new glasses will come in today or tomorrow...cant wait to start seeing better. if they work as good as he showed me they would it will be like WOW....will be great. to not see all this double stuff and fuzzy stuffl

Well finally found out what was going on with the rental house...her boyfriend was the one dragging his feet...She is getting some money in a nice chunk and he didnt want it to go on the house he kept trying to get her to fix his truck and go buy this and that for him....lol i mean expensive tools to fix the house and to do this and that for her , he said....anyway she threw him out last night lol ...Peyton Place.....crazy world some people want to live in...Joe and i might be dull but we like it like that. lol so anyway as soon as the Lawyer can set up anothere date we will get this done ,,,,,,hopefully.

got to get im sitting here trying to fall asleep and having to rewrite my sentences over and over ....talk to you tomorrow....

Dee IF you didn't see the results you were hoping for on the scales please keep in mind the weight of the clothing you are wearing compared to what we wear in warmer weather. I see it often where patients are disappointed with what the scales show. But they have several additional pounds of clothing on and even some wear their boots/shoes to be weighed. Not me I freeze but still wear the lightest weight clothing I can get away with and keep telling myself I will warm up soon. This is besides what Jan said about inches instead of pounds of course.
Jan I will gladly send you the 12 inches of snow we have!!! YUCK!!!!

Hey JoF!  How have you been?  Do you remember me?  I am Adam's mom--you two were in the hospital at the same time.  Looks like you have been doing great--I see you are almost at goal.  Adam is doing great too.  The girl who started this thread (clstark1) is Adam's girlfriend-small world huh?
I am glad you posted.  I have been wondering about you.  Take care.

hey no way do i care that you started the post...cool to know that i can count on you all..

Denna arent you still on disability? if so you can get free rides to the doctor ....

Dont you all just love this cold weather? yuck!!!! i despise it ....we dont even have any snow to look at just cold cold cold...

Hey if you get on the scale and it doesnt change much , you said you felt like you had lost. dont give up sometimes we lose inches and not a pound to be had. So dont get discouraged....

I have been in the house all day today watching Joe cut up limbs from the trees we had cut the other day and burn them ...at least it gave him something to do and he stayed half way warm with his fire he had going. lol ...

well i have filled 5 big tubs of stuff that i think i have to keep but in reality i dont have to have any of it ..we sure think we need stuff dont we? or at least im a collector. I know im going to have to go thru them a second and maybe a third time before i get it down to what i really want to keep....a lot of my collections are worth some money and im putting all of them in a special couple of boxes and taking to a dealer to see what they will give me....i have 3 sets of depression glass ware. that has to be worth something lol dont know but it was a few years ago anyway...
anyway by the time i go thru this stuff the 3rd time i will have whittled it down a lot. i cant just turn some of it loose the first time i go thru it. crazy i know isnt it.
if i didnt keep doing some of this letting go of things and selling some of them i would be over run like those horders they show on tv.

well hope all of you are keeping warm....love you and if you will please pray for any of our fellow man that may be homeless tonight...and if you can let go of some coats or blankets please take them to your local shelter

Keep us up to date about your progress! I had mine done at DePaul and the office staff on the whole are very helpful! I also saw Dr Joyce. I think Cheryl Wasserman is another. I have seen her since surgery and she was being trained to do the psych evals. Good luck with it all! :)

I know this is usually "Momma" Jan's post but I know she's been real busy so I thought I would go ahead and post it.  Hope you don't mind Jan .

I was supposed to go get my mammogram today but had to call and reschedule.  Since I don't have transportation I would have had to walk 1/2 mile to the bus stop, take one bus, wait 30 mins. for the second bus and then walk 1/4 mile to Berland Imaging.  And then of course, do the exact opposite coming home.  This morning I decided that with the wind chill it was just way toooooo cold for that kind of adventure.  So now I go next Friday.

I'm really excited about tomorrow but kinda scared at the same time.  Tomorrow Michael goes to the doctor (his insurance provides transportation where mine doesn't).  We found out that they will let me ride along to the appt.  I always try to go with Michael, that way I hear directly from the doctor what is going on.  Sometimes there is just so much information that Michael doesn't really hear it all.  I also like to go because they let me use their scale.  We have one here at home but it only goes up to 250 and I'm still way above that.  I'm excited because it's been awhile since I weighed.  But at the same time I'm scared to death because I have really been sticking to program and if I don't lose at least a little I'm afraid I will get discouraged.  And I certainly don't want to do that.

Well I better get moving and see if I can be a little productive today.  Hope everyone is having a fantastic day and staying warm.

Being able to do everything in one office is very convenient.  They are very  nice and helpful there.  Let me know if you have any more questions I can help you with along the way.  Good Luck!!!
