So glad you have a good person to work for. That is so important. We miss you but know how much you were looking forward to getting back on the road so I'm very happy for you.
I don't think Jan has internet yet. She's living in a Latin-American country and they very much have the attitude of manana - it will happen tomorrow!! She says she's slowing down her pace but I'll believe that when I see it.
I'm retiring on 1/1/12 so I'm getting to be a short-timer. It's a bittersweet thing for me - I want the freedom and flexibility but will miss my boss and the students.
We were driving from San Diego to Nixa last month and every truck we passed I looked to see if it was you driving. Don't know what I'd have done if I'd seen you. Probably made you pull over!!!

Don't know how else to start except to apologize for not being here in such a long time. Since last November it has been a whirlwind of events, most of them having to do with being out over the road again.
I miss my group in Springfield, was especially hoping to get back before Jan moved away, it didn't work out like that.
I am loving being out on the road again, found a great man to work for, like working for an owner operator much better than I think I would have liked being with a big company. Right now I'm in Mocksville North Carolina, we are changing companies and I'm in the process of getting the truck decals and permits and things changed over. Had to do an all new DOT physical, which required me to do some lifting, pushing and pulling some pretty heavy weights. I did it well and found out I can lift and carry 70 lbs for 100'. The new company my boss is signing on with is a specialty freight hauler, I will be delivering things like large riding lawn mowers, special motorcycles and things like that. Am really excited about the move, the people I'll be working with are really nice and I like them already.
I did have some food issues, it was easier to grab stuff out of the truck stops to eat and it caught up with me, am back on track and still trying to get below 200, but not really as concerned about that right now. I am feeling good and all my tests have been great so will concentrate on eating the foods I buy and keep in my cooler. I have protein powder but for the last 3 months haven't really used it. I was training for Werner and with the way the truck was always moving I used every excuse I could find to not mix the shake and have it. I do concentrate on protein and vegetables for meals, but still need to do protein shakes.
Need to go for now, think I will be able to get on here and post more now. Just want to tell you all I miss you and hope all is going well.
Hello to everyone.just thought i would get on here and see how everyone is doing today.this week sure is starting to fly by fast.the weather has been soo nice we are praying it stays that way for a while yet.i was just reading on the msn home page where they are saying how the post offices are having money problems and they are talking about ending sat mail service they also are saying it is time to raise the price of stamps again.they think they should put them up to one dollar.that is way too much.
we sure do miss coming to the group on friday night's in springfield.so we want to give everyone a hug
this way.everyone have a great day.i have to get ready for work soon.also have to start thinking about halloween.will be here before we know it.where we lived in the apt's we did not have too many kids around but here at our house lots of kids coming through here all the time we have some that live right behind us.

Welcome. I'm also new to this website and was looking for people in the St. Louis area!!! I live near Springfield, Illinois, but am having my surgery in St. Louis. So I'm back and forth to St. Louis at least every other week.

Hello to all.how was your monday.mine was good work went fast most of the time it does when i go in early.i dont open till sunday again.but i do have to be there at 800am the next two days.the weather around here has been so nice.cool in the mornings and nice and sunny and a little warm in the afternoons.just enough to where we can have our windows and doors open and let some fresh air in.sure gives the elec a break.
lana sounds like you all had a good time when you went to hear the music.have you come down off of cloud nine yet with hearing that your friend is coming.lol.we know you are excited.have a great time with their vist.

Had a good weekend. Went to a Heritage Hymns concert on Saturday night. It was by the Messiah Project and there were 32 churches from 13 denominations represented in the choirs, bells, dancers, and orchestra. Then today I got a call and my best friend, Carol and her hubby are going to be able to come down for the weekend this weekend. We have been trying to do this since Spring.
I'm on a cloud.

I would try Dr. Hornbostel in St. Joseph. He used to be in Sedalia and is a great gastric physician. I don't know his phone number but it's a wierd name, can't be more than one in St. Joseph.

Hello to everyone hope you all had a good weekend.they sure do fly by fast.i was off of work on sat and days off fly by too fast.i think the fall weather sure is coming in to oklahoma here.this morning and yesterday morning we were at 49 degress,a little chilly.but we are not saying a word it feels good after that heat we had.the protien coffee warms me up.we are supposed to be in the 80's a few days this week then the 70's.no rain for a little while now but the grass sure is still growing.will have to be cut again before we know it.
i know this is early but i have to open today again at work.the morning girl who does open most weekdays took the day off today her granddaughter is in town today yet.i dont mind i am used to early hours and i get off early.then i am off work tomorrow.
hard to believe we can say next month is thanksgiving already.andy and i are going to take my dad some home cooked food that my mom used to make and eat with him.he likes that just us visting makes him smile.the other day when we went to see him he talked plain as day to us.he has not done that in a while.most of the time he will just say a few words or just smile at us.
