Update....I have appt with cardiologist on MONDAY. YEAH! and I wore a pair of my new shoes today  and OUCHY!!! I bought them just a little to small and couldn't resist wearing them today instead of waiting after the surgery when my feet supposedly will be smaller.  I love sexy shoes but damn the pain....

I too have to have a cardiac clearance and a pulmonary clearance before even thinking of going on. I do have an appointment with Dr. Walton on the same day as the pulmonary Dr. and the stress test the 28th. After that.....I will worry about the financing. My point is, I know how hard the waiting is....I wish I could just go in there, slap down the money and say I want to buy a banana! The waiting is so hard, but the waiting to take off this wait has been a never ending struggle and it is about to come to an end. The wait will be so worth it soon for you!  I had to laugh about the she issue...many on here have said they lost shoe sizes too! hah I hope you can still wear them afterwards!!  Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. I'll pray that your cardio visit goes perfect for you!   Sherry

Hi!  I also had to get cardiac clearance and used Dr. Gahni!  Aren't we glad though that we aren't all going to a couple of docs who just want to take our money and run us through a turnstyle like other places.  I'm so glad they are careful and thorough!  It's our lives they deal with and they want the best for us.  You know you can loose 8 pounds really quick and I'm sure your clearance will go well with the cardiologist.  I agree with Kim....I love retail therapy!  I've been having a lot lately since I have to replace all of my clothes.  I love the fact that I can now shop in a store other than the Avenue and Catherines!!!   I was elated when I could start going to other "normal" stores!!!  Makes me feel so good.....  I have a closet full of shoes and I think that is before I never had to worry about not being able to find shoes that fit like I did clothes!  Hang in there....we'll be thinking about you!  Debbie

Maybe we should get together later on and have a big shoe sale!!! Or even a huge yard sale to sell our old "big"clothes!!!  It might not be a bad idea!!  Sherry

That's probably an awesome idea!  I did have a yard sale at my house about a month ago and sold some clothes but I have taken a lot of my better clothes that I wore to work and church to a consignment shop on the south side of OKC (Big City Woman)  They specialize in clothes size 14 and up so they get the walk in customers for large sizes.  I have more to take in the shop to re-sale.  They also take shoes and purses.  At least I can make a little money to spend on some smaller stuff.  They have to be clean, on hangers and in good condition for them to take.  Just an idea.  Debbie

I'll just keep my mouth shut about Dr. Ghani. Anyway, you can rest assured that your doc knows exactly what he's doing. I know more about my body now than I ever have before, and Dr. Walton knew it all before ever going to work on me. It's true what the others said.it's worth it.  I started my journey one year ago this week and thought I'd never see today. 137 pounds gone forever in a year..and 107 pounds since October gone forever. I'll keep you in my thoughts. It's hard to hear that the date isn't as fast as you want, but you'll make it. I know you will.

I have my own Cardiologist...not that I'm proud to have to have one.... he is a loon!! I still like him though...He is just an odd carefree type person....I trust him even though I could be his mom!!! He is out of Mercy Heart Hospital. It's Dr. McGarry (I think that's how he spells it) Anyway he has fixed me up 3 times and is ok with having this done as long as I pass his requirements. He thinks it will a good thing so that's all that matters. It has to be amazing to slip into clothes of a normal range again....and to watch the scales go down instead of up....You have done great!! It so encourages me that I too, can get there some day. I look like a potato on two sticks. I have to wear 2x shirts and yet I can wear a regular large pant. I just want to look normal somehow instead of pregnant!  Someday!!!
