I had a great time at the OKC Meet and Greet last night. I was having a bad day yesterday as I had gotten more negative news on my daughter. Last night was a great distraction and I was feeling much better by the time I was headed home.
Also had my six week check up with Dr Walton. Everything went well except he got on to me to increase my fluid intake. Not that I am doing all that bad, but it will help with the constipation -- that and Miralax. Told me to take 16 capfuls if I wanted to -- yeah right! LOL.

I had a great time too.  Thanks, Anna, for planning it this month.  It was quite entertaining.   I think a big part of our group are nut cases. LOL  It was fun to see everyone.

I'm sorry I couldn't be there girls! I know you had a great time!! I started my first pre- pre-pre-OPs yesterday at 9 and I didn't get out of there until 2 something. By then I was totally exhausted and came back home. I really wanted to make it this time, but until I get this apnea under control...I get drained if I do much.
The good thing is I am not crazy, so Dr. Keller said I was OK for surgery, The nutritionist said I was good to go, but have 10 lbs to lose....The cute little skinny blond in the exercise dept said it was ok with her, cause I can stretch real far sitting on that grey table.....So now I have my stress test on the 25th and if I  pass that and can bribe my cardiologist to let me off Plavix, I am getting closer.  The only roadblock is still the blasted  apnea machine. I talked to Brandy and told her I could borrow one, if I could get it calibrated somehow...so she is checking on that and also checking around for  one. Now some would say why not get the cpap first....Well my dear mother is in control of the money. She paid half on the surgery and I let them take the prelims out of that to get that started.(she doesn't know that) She made the check out to the Bariactric center( I guess she thinks I might run off with the money or something,I'm 56 and lived in the same house for 40 years! But she let me know she is only paying the 10,000!  Anyway I am working on the apnea machine deal. I'm just so looking forward to feeling awake during the day!! Denise says I will feel like a new person! Man I am hoping so!   Believe it or not....I am getting closer!!! Even if it is in Dec....It is ok!! (kinda) Sooooooo having said all that...That is why I couldn't be there! There will be no excuses next month!!!    Sherry

We missed you last night!  I am still looking forward to getting to meet you in person.  It sounds like you are making a lot of headway towards your surgery....yeeehawww.  I think some of the health care facilities rent machines.  My machine came from Wallgreen's health care.  It is on Meridian a mile or so from the airport.  I am still on mine for now but I'm hoping after they read my last information from the 7 day titrate test I can go off of it...one can hope.  I desperately needed it for good sleep and have gotten use to it because it helps so much but now it feels like someone is blowing so much extra wind in my mouth and is getting a little uncomfortable.  Good luck with all that.

I forgot to say that if you have your information from your sleep study you should be able to get the borrowed machine calibrated at Wallgreen's Health Care as well.  You might give them a call.

I just called them and it would run me 217 a month to rent an Auto Pap. Looks like I'm back to square one....They also need my numbers to set it and my first report doesn't show that....Oh well I will get it taken care of soon... Thanks for the info though!

I had mild apnea and I can tell you that I felt better after getting my cpap.  I was able to sleep longer periods of time without waking up.  That is a pleasure!  I hope this works out for you soon.  I also hope to see you at the September dinner!

I have an extra CPAP in my garage, if you want to see if it can be of use to you.  It's probably6 or 7 years old now, but you can have it if you want it.
