We decided to bring recipes to the OKC meet and greet Tuesday night. Well, I decided that if you can't make it there,  I would print my recipe on here so you can think about trying it also.
I debated on using this because of the bread, but this recipe could be used before the surgery also because of the high protein and low carb content. I am just not sure about the amount of bread for after.... Anyway here it is the recipe I'm taking.

I got this recipe from a diner in Delaware.  I am the first person the owner had ever given the recipe to and he has been there many years. They use Maryland crabs there and these are wonderful!!  You don't have to fry them as they are great broiled! You can use canned crab...but get the lump. They are so much better with fresh or frozen though. These make about 6 to 8. You can see that the net carbs really are low per person.....Yes, I know...no bread!!  However.....some on here still do eat bits of bread and this is so mixed in with the crab that I can't see it causing a problem, but then what do I know yet.......Do what ever you feel is best....
 Crab or Lobster Cakes
1# Crab
or Lobster(Lump or super lump)

1/2 cup or 4 slices  Bread crumbs
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup Mayo

1  teaspoon  Old Bay seasoning

1/4 teaspoon White Pepper
1/4 teaspoon  Dry Mustard
2  teaspoons Worchestershire Sauce

Paparika to sprinkle on top

Mix everything in a bowl BUT the crab. Let it sit a few min to let the seasonings mingle. Slowly add crab stirring gently to mix.
Form into desired size balls and place on a greased cookie sheet or baking pan. Sprinkle with paparika then broil until lightly browned. ENJOY From Okiechic7 or AKA Sherry

Sounds great! I was searching for low carb recipes this weekend and found one for crab cakes that used crushed pork rinds instead of bread crumbs. Would never have thought of that and they are zero carbs!

Another great use for crushed pork rinds.  Baked Chicken.  It gets crunchy like fried, but no grease and no carbs.  I have also found, Pepper Jack Cheese Fries make a good crunchy coating.
Mom to Brooklyn 2 1/2 and baby Dodge here sometime in May
