Staying Warm and Comfortable
I found the most wonderful blanket at Sam's the other day. It's fleece and light green (the color of Ed the Cat's eyes). I love to feel it because it's soft and warm and light. I also got a woven bamboo throw to use at work because I'm right under a vent and we still have the A/C going full blast (it's turned on once a year and turned off once a year - go figure). Anyway, I figure I'll be able to wear sun dresses when they turn the heat on in Dec.

I know for me I'm cold most of the time except when walking with my buddies or exercising. I have NEVER in my life had that problem. I now am sleeping most of the time under my heavy comforter. I even found myself wearing socks to be in JULY!!! I know if my hands and feet are cold I am cold all over. I have a space heater under my desk at work as well. I think it has been a wonderful trade off though. I was so tired of being the only one who was always hot and sweating. I couldn't even walk through Wall Mart without sweating no matter what time of the year it was. Oh well, I guess we can't have it al can we?
Donna,
Having not had the surgery and having been a walking hot flash for many years now. I always keep my house cool Right now the thermostat is set on 65. I keep it there most of the winter. In the dead of winter I crack my window open and climb into my warm bed. I have an electric blanket that I crank up. I love being warm with my face cool to cold and my feet out hanging out of the covers. Oh, not to mention I run a box fan for the noise of it! I kinda hope that changes after the surgery.
Yes, you will be able to wear those sun dresses soon! I look forward to that too!

Sherry - we were separated at birth! I also have a ceiling fan and a small fan blowing in my face at night. I like a breeze across my face! And I like my left foot out so it can breathe too! I did handle the heat of summer better than I did before surgery but I'm not as cold as these other peeps. I really need a NASA space suit since I go from hot to cold and back so quickly and without warning. But it's better than before surgery!
