Can I expand my pouch by drinking too much?

Michael, I promise there is a difference in your appearance.  We are always the last to "see" it.  Please post a new pic of your smiling face- butt shot optional!  =)

MICHAEL....there is a difference I promise.  I was one for sure who couldn't see a difference when I looked in the mirror but when I had pictures developed that my DH took regularly I could then see it....  I promise you do not loose as much weight as you have and not have a difference.  I saw it at the last support meeting you were able to attend!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I drink about two gallons a day.  So far, so good.  I've also been told it's nearly impossible to drink too much of the appropriate liquids.

I, too, was able to drink almost normally from the beginning.  At 8 months post-op I still have great restriction.  Don't think I have stretched tummy at all.

Not to worry, I could drink that well too. I did not wait that long between sips after about 5 days. Believe me, when I started eating, I could definately tell my pouch was not stretched.

8 pounds to my goal!

I'm 5 weeks post op as of today. I was the same way the first week, I was able to drink a lot as well. I was concerned myself with being able to consume more at a time than I should. As one of the other members of OH informed me that we do not have a pyloric valve anymore, so liquid will pass through the pouch a lot faster than before.

Congrats on the weight loss!!! That is great!

Jeremy,

I could drink quickly right after surgery also.  I still drink faster than my niece who had her surgery in September.  I think you're ok, because believe me, I still can't eat more than 1/4 cup.

Michael,

You should post a new pic.  We're always the last to see the changes in ourselves.  I'll never look in the mirror and see a difference, but if I put the pics up and look at them together, I can see it.  Take a pic of yourself, if you don't like it, get rid of it, but we'd love to see the new you!
