2 months post-op and new pics
Good morning friends! Yesterday was my 2 month anniversary of my surgery. I can't believe it has already been two months! It seems like forever ago, and then again it seems like just yesterday. I posted new pictures and a new avatar. I also had to go Saturday and find new pants...my friend at work was calling me baggy britches, so I decided it was time. I bought two different sizes...some of them fit now, some will fit in a few weeks. They were cheap, so I figured I'd better get them while they were there!

You're all sweet! I knew my clothes were getting baggy, but I didn't really see the difference. My friend insists that I take pictures on the 22nd of each month, so that's what I've been doing...well this time it was the 23, but I didn't feel like getting fixed up yesterday. I put all my pictures together on one page in a word document and on my gosh! The difference in last month and this month was amazing. So yes, you all need to take pictures, even if you don't post them, you can look at them yourselves and see the difference.

The pictures were and still are what keep me going. I STILL do not see anything but a 408 person in my mirror. I KNOW I buy smaller clothes and the scales show much less but...I have to remind myself that they did surgery on my stomach and not my head. It'll take me a while to get it since I was obest for so many many years! You are doing so great my friend!
Debbie,
I know exactly what you mean. I will always see the 408 lb. girl that I was several years ago. I honestly don't ever want to forget her, because I don't want to go back there. I was a miserable teenager and young woman, because I was so obese. I look in the mirror and still see remanents of her.
As for the baggy britches, it'll happen. One week when I wore the pants to work they were fine, the next week they were really slouchy. The first time I really noticed them getting big on me was the day I went to see Dr. Walton for my 3 month appt. He wanted to feel of my belly, so I stood up and started to unfasten them, he told me I didn't need to, but he said, "I think it's time for new pants!" I loved it! Of course I continued to wear the same ones for quite some time, so they were REALLY baggy now.
