Reheating STEAK!
I have a newfound love of steak! I never much cared for the stuff pre-op, but I love it now.
My only problem would be going about reheating the leftovers. How do I do it without cooking it further? Is it even possible to keep it just as tender and juicy as when I first had it?
So what'll it be? Microwave? Skillet? George Foreman grill? Oven?
Thank you my lovely DSers :)
I'm a massive steak enthusiast, too. What I do to reheat mine is cut it into pieces first, put them on a paper plate, put a paper plate inverted on top of that plate like a lid and nuke it for about a minute. Sometimes it needs about 30 seconds more. It's not AS juicy as it was the first time, but the makeshift lid helps keep the moisture in.
Hope this helps. I'm not a good cook so someone else probably has a better idea. Oh yeah, don't forget the A1.

You are going to cook it a bit more, it's inevitable. Skillet, low heat. OR oven 350 degrees, check after 10 minutes and then every 5 after that. This is what I do and it usually doesn't change things too much!

I do what Lisa does with one exception, I put a paper towel over the steak...A little wetter than damp but not dripping...That usually helps plus it sometimes gives you some yummy juices...I love steak too! Before I had surgery I was kinda -eh about it...NOW I LOVE it! My FAVORITE is a T-Bone with a porterhouse still in it...At least I think that's what it's called...That part is VERY tender...Yu-MEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Good luck to ya!

That's exactly what I do! I will also eat leftover steak by cutting it in strips and briefly stir frying it in a pan. I then serve it over a salad with bleu cheese, red onions, and walnuts. Yum!
