Already got my results.

Weak pelvic floor.

Buuuut, my liver enzymes and lipase are both also elevated so they are going to have me do an MRCP (MRI of pancreas/bile ducts) as well.

I just need to get my next MRI scheduled and I've got an appointment with my GI next Monday so hopefully we'll have a game plan by then. 

Can you ask if they can do a CT scan of your bile duct instead of an MRI? That's what I had done and it was quick and easy. Unless they think they can see it better with an MRI.

Thanks Kathleen.  I'd prefer a CT scan, but alas, I have already had one with and without contrast.  The only thing it showed was "banding" in my abdomen (probably adhesions) which were present in a different CT scan 2 years ago, so it was deemed that they are unlikely to be the cause of my problems.

I have a hard time pooping in a different toilet in my own house.  I can't imagine pooping while laying down, inside an MRI machine.  But I guess pain will make people do things they wouldn't ordinarily consider.

I'm sorry you had to do this - but appreciate your posting your experience for those who - um - come behind.  I'm sure if someone else ever happens to need this unusual procedure, nobody *****ad this post will forget who to send them to for advice and support!

I, too, contort myself in certain ways to poop/fart. It totally sucks. Have they ruled out a redundant colon? I would lay dollars to donuts that that might be part of your problem. Whenever mine is acting up I have issues pooping. It's no fun at all.

Sorry you had to go through this but hopefully you'll have an answer soon. Have they proposed any treatments?
