Stomach rumbling-two days post op. Sugggestions?

I am sure this has been asked and answered but I couldn't find a thread that was recent. I have this horrible rumbling. It is almost to the point of being painful. It sort of feels like gas, but doesn't settle even after I fart (sorry tmi). I had problems with milk doing this same sort of thing pre-op. Is this normal or could it be lactose intolerance?

I found using the gas x strips helped the gas come up, which gave some relief to the massive grumblings. My stomach still loudly talks to me and I am 10 months post op. If it is causing pain, I would mention it to your surgeon on your next check up though

Completely normal.  At times my stomach still rumbles very, very loud and I am six months out.  My seven year old son laughs and eyes go big when he hears my stomach roar.

While its more than likely gas, and gas strips may help, you'll also somewhat need to get used to the stomach rumbling thing. My stomach always makes a ton of different noises and can be quite embarrassing from time to time with the noises it can make.

This is for the most part very typical of having your insides rearranged!  Sometimes people get confused and think it is hunger but not necessarily so.

Sounds like gas to me! And as Dawn mentioned, get used to the rumbly sounds.  My stomach still makes noise even after 5 years. lol

I would have to say completely normal as well.........I remember my first few days home and man!!! the rumbling was insane!  Calmed down now, but still here my stomach rumble from time to time.

I would also say this is normal, I had the same thing after sx. My stomach still rumbles too from time to time...
