Thrush post surgery?

My tongue has this nasty film on it. I am 6 days post op. I brush, swish and rinse even used a tongue scraper. It looks like thrush that a baby gets. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this?

Thrush is usually the result of large amounts of antibiotics and my information is that an IV antibiotic is given immediately pre-op and then nothing afterwards unless needed. What colour is this film?

It's white. I have a bad taste in my mouth most of the time too.

The bad taste is probably from being in Ketosis. This is when you are in a very fast fat burning phase. Google it, I'm sure you'll find it interesting!

I had the exact same thing when I came home from the hospital. I took to brushing my teeth as often as I could and brushed my tongue and the roof of my mouth as often as I could stand it (it made me gag). It eventually went away within time....(a few days or a week...can't really remember now).
